The tide was high and the air was cold. The wind noise on Beach Buoy's flappy ears was almost as noisy as the rumbling and tumbling sea. Beach Buoy put his hood up it had a triple benefit... A. It made it feel warmer. B. It reduced the wind noise. C. It hid Beach Buoy's flappy ears..... There was a defined strand line tonight and a great contrast to highlight it. There was dark wet sand and dry much lighter beach sand. The strand-line was a wibbly wobbly line tonight, where random fingers of sea had tried to make a land grab. Beach Buoy did a wibbly wobbly walk along the strand line leaving wibbly wobbly foot and paw prints in the sand. A dogless man appeared from the dunes. Beach Buoy's mind wandered a little.. what about a dog hire business? Then it wandered even further, caught a bus and spent two hours on a train.... A Company Name? LEADS UNITED. FOLLOW MY LEAD.......
Beach Buoy could work behind the counter? He is only days away from his current job ending.... He could use the same joke every time someone came into the shop. Customer... "HOW DO I GO ABOUT HIRING A DOG PLEASE? Beach Buoy... "THERE'S A LITTLE SCREW ON EACH LEG." "OH... HIRE I THOUGHT YOU SAID HIGHER."
A seagull effortlessly sailed past in the strong cold wind with a very low flap to fly ratio.
In a way the colder weather was a blessing in disguise, it kept people at bay ...but not this bay!
