SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 12, MAY 2025

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for an evening beach.
It was 7-15.
Families had been tempted to the sunny beach after school and work.
Most were leaving now.
Jackpot!

They headed south.
Beach Buoy collected five stones that were deemed suitable for Stubborn Dog Stack.

There was a lovely fresh breeze from the east, across the sea.
The outgoing tide was already well out.
A lady and her dog walked the dune edge, heading south.
A couple walked their dog northwards, along the strand-line.

"Evening Mate."
It was 7-38.
Beach Buoy added five stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust.
He watched twenty seven wind turbines spin in time and circles.

On the beach below a Dad and lad jogged southwards.
The lad, aged about twelve was a good way ahead.
The Dad broke into a walk.
He seemed to notice that the tide was low enough to allow beach access all of the way to the Pier.
That's were the lad was going.

"See you mate."
Beach Buoy began to head back.

More Dad speed than lad speed.
Beach Buoy picked up a red plastic rake.
Another beach toy to give to the litter pick lady, next time their sandy footprints cross.
She will wash it.
It will go in a box of free to use beach toys.

They headed back to the north.
Seven Oyster Catchers did too, like whistling bullets.
The beach seemed to be theirs?
Not quite.
Way way way to the north, others enjoyed the company of the sea.
It looked like simpler times.
The masts of Hartlepool's Trincomalee, seen in a couple of the photographs helps.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back to the van.
They bumped into the young lady with the Yorkshire Terrier.
She had the hood up on her white hoodie.
Hiya.
Hiya, haven't been you for ages.
Beach Buoy explained his beach times have been quite varied lately.
The little dog scampered over for a fuss.
They chatted briefly about the fresh breeze before going their separate ways.
