Tuesday
Beach Buoy and Another Dog parked up in Sandy Car Park at 6-25 a.m.
Just as they arrived, two German Shepherds were heading up the access ramp.
They were off their leads.
Beach Buoy placed Another Dog up on the Esplanade Wall.
She watched them pass with interest.
Two Ladies walked to the southern end of The Esplanade.
They turned at the low wall before jogging back to the north.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the access ramp
A couple descended just behind them.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"Morning."
They had come in the hope of seeing the sunrise.
They went their separate ways.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the sea.
Gulls rafted like hook-a-ducks, waiting for the Sun to show.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed South.
The Sun cleared the horizon.
The Sun's light flooded into the bay.
The Sunrise Seekers.
They continued southwards as the Sun climbed.
Plenty of space.
The Sea Serpent had come ashore.
Sea Serpent O'clock.
Ruby.
"Morning Mate."
It was 6-55 a.m.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust.
He watched the sea slap onto the sands.
There was hardly a breath of wind.
He listened to the Skylarks.
Beach Buoy tries to savour everything all of the time.
You don't know how long you have.
Mr.Gunn/Lunn came up the small slope that leads to the stack.
He had added a stone to the makeshift stepping stone steps that Beach Buoy had started.
They chatted about the sound of the sea on the beach and rocks.
The noise the sea makes as it rushes through the rocks as the waves pull back.
That rumble.
They went their separate ways.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.
The Sea Serpent headed back to it's marker.
Back to the Village.
Team Muzzled Dog passed with distant waves and not so distant but brief chats.
They went their separate ways.
Beach Buoy approached the southernmost access ramp.
The man with three dogs who once had four had joined the beach from the low wall at the south end of the Esplanade.
Distant waves were shared.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"Morning."
Two men passed by.
BEACH BUOY.
