Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the car park at Seaton Park at 7-52 a.m.
They crossed the road to the Promenade and the beach beyond.
To the north, Christmas lights twinkled on street lights.
To the south, the sky began to light.
Saturday had left the station.
Within minutes the sky glowed pink.
They headed south.
The clouds looked like they had come from another planet.
The Village Church Bells rang out for 8 a.m.
as the passed the Bus Station's Art Deco Clock Tower.
Horses walked the water's edge.
The southern sky was turning orange as sunrise approached.
To the north, The Brass Monkey Sea Swimmers screamed as they entered the sea.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were already ending their walk up near the strand-line.
Two ladies stood, phones in hand waiting for that moment of sunrise.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
A man passed by, heading north.
"Morning."
"Morning."
The man's Terrier Dog was trotting along just behind him.
It carried a ball in its mouth.
A wagging tail signalled to Beach Buoy that the dog thought it was the best ball in the world.
A slight breeze blew down onto the beach, across the dunes.
Beach-trapped water ran as it escaped the beach.
The young lady with a Yorkshire Terrier passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
They chatted a while as the two dogs sniffed the air.
"Wow, twenty days off !
What will you do ?"
"Beach."
They went their separate ways.
The Sea Serpent showed up.
First time for a while.
The sea was still high enough to block beach access to North Gare Pier.
They clambered over the grey rocks to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning Mate."
It was 8-36.
Beach Buoy added some stones
He patted
THE
stone.
He placed the wobbly driftwood plank onto the stack and sat ...
Beach Buoy drank Wobbly Driftwood Coffee as the Sun rose.
Another Dog sniffed the air.
Eventually Beach Buoy stood.
He stretched out like a Wind Turbine as he did so.
They returned to the beach.
Winter felt like spring once more.
Slow walk back.
Two Labradoodles danced as they headed south with two men and Boxer Dog.
The Pizza Van was already heading along the Promenade.
The Promenade glowed, it's damp paving stones reflecting the sunlight.
BEACH BUOY.
