SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 13, DEC. 2023.

Day off.

First of twenty.

Beach Buoy parked at Seaton Park.

He headed for the beach.

It was 10-15.

He bumped into a former workmate who told him about his various medical procedures.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

The air was was fresh.
The sea was wild.
People and dogs were scattered about the vast beach.
A self conscious looking jogger stopped jogging and began walking as he approached Beach Buoy and Another Dog.
Once he had passed by, he jogged once more.

They headed south.
It began to rain horizontal rain.
It lasted ten minutes or so.

The sunlight came and went as clouds whizzed by.

Gulls hung overhead in the strong wind.
A Lone Oyster Catcher flew close to the sand as it flew into the headwind.
Beach Buoy looked around.
The beach was theirs.
The rain has seen to that.

They cut back through the dunes.
Well south of the stack, Beach Buoy found The Wobbly Driftwood Plank.
He returned it to the Stack.

"Morning Mate."
He added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Wobbly coffee on the relocated plank time.

"See you mate "

Slow walk back.

Beach Buoy bumped into another ex workmate.

It had been five years.

They chatted.

Lots had happened.
