24 JULY 2023. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at the beach at 6-39 p m.
It had been sunny but was overcast now.
A chilled breeze blew from the north.
It was just a breeze but the sea looked angry as though it was a windy day.

They headed to the sea.

Two men with black dogs headed for the sea too.
They hadn't arrived together.
Both black dogs were on leads.
The dogs played together at almost touching distance as the owners leant away from the fun.
It looked like each dog was boxing its own shadow.

Family groups were dotted along the water's edge.

A friendly Border Collie arrived.
It dropped a tennis ball at Beach Buoy's feet.
The dog crouched down but looked Beach Buoy in the eyes.
Throw the ball.
Throw the ball.
Beach Buoy threw the ball.

Jellyfish of all sizes and colours were scattered along the water's edge.
Some, the colour and size of Pizzas.
Others, the size and colour of those colourful glass paperweights.

Up ahead a small fish flapped on the beach.
It had been caught out by the water's edge and left stranded ashore.
Beach Buoy scooped it up gently
It released it back to the sea on an outgoing wave.

7-18.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat to drink his beach coffee.
Marram Grass danced to a Sea Symphony.
For a short while Beach Buoy was transported to that cottage by that beach.

Beach Buoy stood.
Time to go.
Back to reality.
"See you mate."

A slow walk back.

Pebbles with legs ran back and forth as each wave broke before pulling back into the sea.

BEACH BUOY.
