SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL,07, JAN. 2023.

Saturday afternoon.
The sun had come out to play.
Beach Buoy couldn't bear to sit and watch the world go dark.
He headed for the beach on foot with Borrowed Dog and Another Dog.
It was 2-45 p.m.
A horse and cart was heading down Elizabeth Way, towing a line if impatient traffic behind it.
They reached the Promenade at 3-01.
The tide was well.
They headed down the beach access ramp.

A family were just leaving.
"You're not getting no chips off me."
said a double negative Dad.
They headed south.
An outbreak of Spaniels seemed to have broken out since Beach Buoy's morning visit.

A threw a ball for his Boxer dog.
A much smaller Spaniel jumped in and stole it..
The Big Softy Boxer fell to the ground as if to say.
"Not the face, not the face." as if half expecting a battle.
An apologetic Spaniel returned the ball.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed south.
The Boxer Dog was up ahead.

Beach Buoy paused to watch the sea and two ships swap places.
One to sea.
One to port.
A small white dog passed.
It proudly carried a piece of driftwood in its mouth.

They headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Afternoon Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

Beach Buoy watched clouds travel down the river before heading for the horizon.

"See you mate"
They headed back.

Sea Pottery.

A slow walk back.
