Beach Buoy had gone to bed at 1 but was up by 3, it was way too sticky.
It had been predicted that the day ahead would break temperature records; it did.
It was 5-20 a.m. when they saw the sea.
A lady was stood half way down, half way up the beach access ramp with her two dogs ; Milo and Lola.
The lady had paused to photograph the sunrise.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the water's edge.
Another lady had just come down the access ramp, she and her boxer dog headed south.
The tide was well out.
The 7 a.m. club approached from the North.
Their paths crossed.
They paused.
They chatted.
Gulls resting at the water's edge took flight
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south, as did the 7 a.m club, but at quicker pace.
In the early morning heat, driftwood took on the appearance of animal bones, bleached by a desert's sun.
The Sun seemed to drift like a golden balloon, it's matching attached ribbon crossed the bay on the surface of the sea.
The Sea Serpent came up for air, before the full heat of the day took hold.
The 7 a.m. club passed heading back north.
They chatted a little more.
Beach Buoy made a fuss of Mari, the big friendly poodle.
S for Sundial.
The balloon drifted south towards the Sea Serpent.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
The lady in pink and her boxer dog were down below, having a sit and think.
It was 5-58 a.m.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added the stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy sat at the stack with coffee.
He watched as a fish jumped clear out of the sea, just ahead of him.
Hugo, the distant wave lady's dog came into view.
It laid on the sand, just ahead of Beach Buoy as it tried to decide if the the lady in pink's boxer dog was friend or foe.
The 7 a m. Club came into view, heading south for the second time today.
The distant wave lady was walking along too.
Mari, the big friendly poodle appeared up at the stack for the second neck scratch of the day
Wallace, one of her sidekicks came too.
They paused opposite the stack and chatted.
The distant wave lady gave a distant wave as they headed back to the north.
A jogger that had not long gone south, headed back north.
He would later repeat this on two more occasions as Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed back.
Beach Buoy had been sat on a bum shaped rock a canny while.
He now has a rock shaped bum.
Time to go.
"See you mate."
They headed back down onto the beach.
The tide was working it was in.
Beach staff.
It was a slow walk back.
There was a lady up ahead with a border collie and a rucksack.
Ray.
On the way back he spotted Dotty Dog and her mam walking down the beach .
He gave a returned wave as he passed.
BEACH BUOY.
