25, JULY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Happy Gotcha Day Ruby..
Five years ago.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach to celebrate.
They reached Sandy Car Park at 5-58 a.m.

A Little Tern chased a Large Gull away from the nest site.
A man with a Border Collie came up from the beach.
He placed a beachclean into an Esplanade Bin.

The grass that runs alongside The Esplanade is as yellow and dry as the nearby dune sand.

The Little Tern Nest Site Fencing.
Beach Buoy wondered how long it would be before the birds would move on?

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

They went down to the flatter, tidal sand.

The tide was well out.
The wreck was on show.
The wreck lies within the dog ban area.
So close ups on dog-free days only.
Or maybe in Autumn when the dog ban doesn't apply.

Team One Black Ear were to the south.
In time their paths crossed.
They chatted.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
He threw a capful of seed to a Lone Crow.

The only hint of Sun was an orange blush on the horizon.

To the north, Beach Buoy could see that the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were on their way south.

A man with a dog walked the water's edge.
His dog walked in the sea.

Beach Buoy walked a lazy strand-line.
A beach-lost football waited to be kicked.
Beach Buoy obliged.
With a drop of a shoulder and the swing of a leg, Beach Buoy launched the ball.
It went up to the dune edge.
Someone would be glad to find it later.

A single ray of sunlight broke through the clouds.
It picked out one particular Wind Turbine.
The star of the show.
They walked the low level route.
Two sturdy stones were selected and placed as part of the sea defence.

Up the small slope.

"Morning Mate."
It was 6-40.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He scattered some seeds.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.

Beach Buoy really did like the latest Brakesy addition to Stubborn Dog Stack.

A Beach Fisherman was setting up to the south.

Stubborn Dog Stack.
A stack for a Stubborn Dog.

A Gull.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.
Walking Another Dog was like dragging a 1950's coffee table along the beach
A coffee table that has had  25kg bag of cement mix laid on top.
The Sun cleared the clouds for a short while.

Beach Buoy booted a beach-lost football up beyond the strand-line.
Kids will find it later.
To the north, sunlit seafront houses looked like a Brakesy.

Random rays of light shone down on the Turbines.

Beach Buoy gave a returned distant wave to Dylan the Dog and his owner.

A smashed bottle on a beach rock.
It was beach-cleaned.

Two thirds of Team Mick Aston Jumper were walking The Esplanade.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"Morning."

SEATON SNOOKS TEA ROOM OUT AND ABOUT CARD.

 A REALLY GOOD DRYING DAY.

Beach Buoy.

24, JULY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Friday morning.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached Sandy Car Park at 6-18 a.m.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple weren't far behind.

The lady who once fell off her bike was walking the Esplanade with three for company.
The Sun was out.
There was a lovely cooling breeze from the west.

A Twitcher sat at the nest site fencing.

Some stood by the sea.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones as they headed for the sea too.

Team One Black Ear went from dune edge to the Esplanade.

The sea front.

A small glass tile.
From bathroom to beach.

Beach Buoy scattered a capful of seed for a lone Crow.

A sad looking stone shouted.
" Can l be suitable?
Can l come to the stack too?"
It was and did
Six suitable stones it was.

A lady passed by.
Talking, phone in hand and hair in a bun.
Her dog followed.

A Lapwing went north above the dunes edge.
Three Sand Martins did too.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the low level route.
Sturdy stones x 2✅
Place on sea defence ✅

Up the small slope.

Beach Buoy added six suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Morning Mate."
It was 6-59.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
He scattered some seeds for the birds.

Sit and think on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.
Sun on face.
Refreshing breeze on back.
He listened to the sea and Gulls.
A distant Cow mooed.
The sea sparkled like butter wouldn't melt.
We know the truth.

"See you mate."

No sooner we're they back on the low level route, Crows had landed up at Stubborn Dog Stack.

The Council Tractor headed south.

It left those lovely tracks.

Ted "the terrible." and owner were up ahead.
"Morning."
"Morning."

Beach Buoy walked the track pathway.
He can be quite predicable at times.

I know him well.

23, JULY 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 A evening visit.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at Sandy Car Park at 6-48.

It was a busy Car Park.

Groups of teenagers headed to the dunes.

Little Terns chattered, watched by the Little Tern Wardens.

A Yellow Ship was about to enter the river.

No doubt Jeremy Clarkson sold say something like, It was so yellow that it made a banana look like a cucumber.

They made their way to the sea.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
The tide was well out.
A fresh breeze blew over from the sea.

A man in maroon top went from the dunes, halfway to the sea.
He turned and headed back to the dune.
He hopped around as he put on his shoes.
He climbed up the a big slope into the dunes.

Beach Buoy paused.
He could see flashes of white out in the bay.
Gannets.

They walked the low level route.

Beach Buoy could smell the smoke of a camp fire.

Beach Buoy selected two Sturdy Stones.

He added them to the sea defence.

Up the small slope that leads to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Across the dunes a small murmuration  of Starlings.
Other collective nouns are a chattering or a cloud.

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He scattered seeds.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.

A new Brakesy!

A long view on driftwood of the scene to the north.

Wonderful.
What talent and how kind.

Thank you Brakesy.

And again...

Beach Buoy had a sit and a think on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.

A Lone Oyster Catcher.

Two men walked the beach, putting the world to rights.
Good luck with that.

"See you mate."
Back to the beach.

The smell of smoke was stronger.

Back to the Car Park.

A couple headed to the sea.

The lady looked a walking deck chair in her stripey dress.

A Fire Engine was parked near to the dunes.

The camo fire turned out to be a dune fire.
