It has been a funny old day.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog arrived at the beach at 12-25 p.m.
The tide was about as far in as it was out.
The Seaton Carew Wreck was still at sea.
It was just an overcast afternoon.
In fact, it was just afternoon.
To the north, a lady walked dog as three people stood in the sea.
A lady in a bright yellow coat walked up near the esplanade with her two dogs.
Beach Buoy was led to the sea by the tractor tyre tracks.
There are many worse places to end up.
Beach Buoy checked north before heading south.
A tall man with a tall dog walked alongside a short lady with a short dog.
A man stood looking out to sea as his two Yorkshire Terriers sat waiting in matching red coats.
A ship sailed into the river.
Beach Buoy and the dogs headed to the Big Slope.
Beach Buoy paused at the top.
He looked at the industry that seemed to hold the river like a canal.
He had built a few oil rigs in his day.
He may have even help build the one shown?
No more industry now.
He, like it,waiting, for the end now.
He checked back to the beach below.
The new normal...
They set off along the "easy " route.
"Afternoon Mate."
It was 1-09.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood bench.
He sat watching as the bright yellow boat that services the Wind Turbines headed back to Hartlepool.
"See you mate."
They headed back along the "easy" route.
One man and his dog led the way back to the north.
The man wore a Dut.
An older man in a flat cap passed him as he headed south.
The two men nodded in silence.
HOLD THE PRESS!
What is a Dut some may ask?
It is a woolen hat.
Some, not Beach Buoy, call them a beanie ?
Some, not Beach Buoy, call them a bobble hat.
As did Beach Buoy's teacher when marking a work written when Beach Buoy was nine or so.
Young Beach Buoy wrote.
"I go to watch Hartlepool play football.
When l do l wear my blue and white dut."
The teacher crossed out "Dut" with a red pen and wrote Bobble Hat.
The funny thing is that it didn't have a bobble.
So maybe Beach Buoy should have crossed that out and wrote "Beanie."
See how the teacher liked being corrected?
Also for reference it's good to check back because auto correct changed woolen to wooden... That's a big difference when it comes to hats.
The litterpick man worked the strand-line, filling his green plastic with other people laziness.
Beach Buoy and the dogs returned back to the van.
BEACH BUOY.
