SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL,12,FEB. 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach on foot at 6-58 a.m.
Three hoods went up.
Not because of the weather, just because of the world.
There was a slight chill but no breeze.
The street lights were still lit.

They headed to the beach under a sky of grey clouds and Crying Gulls.
A brightly coloured jogger tiptoed by at speed.
An old man cycled past slowly on an old racing bicycle.
As usual, Another Dog had been reluctant to get ready for the beach.
It was a different story as they headed to the sea.
The little dog seemed to grab pawfuls of pavement as she eagerly walked the walk.
She did pause for an extra long nose to tail shake, as if to say, "Let's do this!"

They reached the car park as the man with two Black German Shepherds was leaving.
He walks a circular route.
The same route that Mr.Gunn/Nunn, but in the opposite direction.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the promenade.
Someone was heading south as they walked the Promenade wall.
Beach Buoy watched as the person dismounted as they reached beach steps.
The person climbed back on to the wall then continued south.
The person paused and stood looking at the sea.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 7-15 a.m.

The tide was well in.
It was around high tide.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for  the water's edge.
The promenade wall walker carried onto the end.

A partial Distant Wave Club and Mr.Gunn/Nunn appeared.
Hugo came bounding over.
A bit of a beach chat took place.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog took their leave, heading south by the sea.

The walked seacoal.
They walked sand.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple followed suit.

Beach Buoy picked up an interesting piece of sea pottery.
It was laying flag side up.

The reverse side.

Another piece of sea pottery was nearby.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

It was 7-51 a.m.

"Morning Mate."

Beach Buoy added some stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

He sat on a large stack stone.

He drank coffee.

He and Another Dog enjoyed the scene.

They watched the sea and people come and go.

A jogger came and went.
Out of nowhere the temperature seemed to drop like a stone.
A stack stone.
A slight breeze arrived.

Eventually they too made a move.

They wandered back north.
The pointer type dog that he had met the day before came running over.
Beach Buoy gave the dog a neck rub.
The owner hadn't seen their first meeting up in the dunes previously.
He seemed pleased that his dog had made a new friend.
Beach Buoy chatted to the owner as the big dog looked up at him.
They all went their separate ways.
"You have a lovely day."
"Thank you, you too."

A surfer surfed the waves as his partner stood on the beach, filming.

As they reached the car park they bumped in to Mr.Gunn/Nunn for a second time.
They chatted about a time in the future when they could both fit in more beaches.
Until one day Beach Buoy would be on the beach for good.

BEACH BUOY.
