Hartlepool Headland.... A sit in the van

It had been a rubbish week.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog went for some take away food and took it away to Hartlepool Headland.

They arrived at 6-31 p.m.

They parked at that spot.

You know the one, between the Pilot Pier and Andy Capp statue.

The spot where Beach Buoy went to, the night after his Dad had died.

He shouted at a raging wind that night.

It's a special place.

Beach Buoy climbed into the back of the van.

He shared his food with Another Dog.

They headed out for a walk.

Onto the Lower Promenade towards The Heugh Pier.

A strong but mild breeze blew them along.

It was very quiet.

The only sounds came from Distant Oyster Catchers.

They headed back.

A large blue van was parked up, stealth camping.

It's rumbling diesel heater gave the game away.

It had felt like ages since Beach Buoy had made a coffee in the van.

The kettle went on.

The kettle boiled in next to no time.

Beach Buoy had brought emergency supplies as he wasn't sure where everything was.
It had been so long.

It had been a rough week.
Sleep was all over the place .
The night before had been
6-15 to 9-30
and then
1-15 to 4-50.
The van is always so cosy.
Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods, rested his head on an arm.
He fell asleep.

BEACH BUOY.
