Beach Buoy had been up since 3-15.
He and Another Dog set off for the beach in the van.
As they waited at a T junction, a gritter truck went by, spreading as it went.
They reached the beach car park at
7-10 a.m.
The two illuminated cyclists had already began to head back north.
As Beach Buoy was closing the van's side door, Mr. Gunn/Nunn pulled up alongside.
"Morning."
"Morning."
Alfie, his dog jumped out of the car.
Beach Buoy gave him a warm welcome.
Mr. Gunn/Nunn headed for the access ramp as Beach Buoy faffed on.
It was quite lightbulb the Moon seemed determined to watch over the village.
The tide was well out, the air was still but cold.
Hundreds of noisy Gulls flew around as if trying to generate some heat in their wings.
Mr. Gunn/Nunn had been chatting to a beach regular who doesn't often appear on the blog.
He owns muzzled dog , who has been mentioned a few times.
The man usually walks the beach with his partner and their other dog a Border Collie.
Beach Buoy had caught Mr.Gunn/ Nunn up.
"Is all ok?"
Mr. Gunn went on to explain that the man's Border Collie was nervous.
It had been scared by the sound of a motorbike.
It went missing for 48 hours but was found safe but whimpering down in some rocks near North Gare Pier.
Mr.Gunn/Nunn lead the way.
He and Alfie do a circular walk.
Beach Buoy pulled up three hoods.
He wore fingerless gloves.
They headed south.
Sunrise would be at 7-43 a.m.
The light changed constantly.
Vapour trail kisses filled the air.
The sky looked like the end of a love letter.
Beach Buoy gathered some stone cold beach stones to add to the stack.
The beach combing Border Collie Couple were on their way south too.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added the stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He watched the sea and sky.
He drank coffee.
To the north, the Moon was finally fading into ever increasing daylight.
An imaginary baton passed from Moon to Sun over the dunes.
Baton safely in its grasp the Sun claimed the day.
Another Dog...
"See you mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog went back to the beach.
Once on the beach, Beach Buoy glanced up towards Stubborn Dog Stack.
A X in the sky above pleased him.
Bright colours increased as the Sun rose.
Beach Buoy chatted to a man with a friendly Beagle.
They recalled lockdowns and almost deserted beaches.
As he walked north Beach Buoy was constantly turning south.
The brightness and colour were almost addictive.
More vapour trail kisses filled the sky.
Not Beach Buoy and his dog were up ahead.
They headed for the promenade.
A jump over the low wall to the south and they returned north.
By the time Beach Buoy reached the access ramp, the Village Church Bells were ringing for 8-30.
As Beach Buoy reached the van, Mr Gunn/Nunn was return to his car.
Two completely different walks lasting exactly the same time.
BEACH BUOY.
