SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 10 MAY 2020. ALLOWED EXERCISE WALK.

Beach Buoy was up at 5 am
They headed for the beach after stopping  at the van to grab waterproofs for Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog.
An exposed car park brought them  faces full of fine rain, blowing in from the north east.
Gulls hung in the air over the Water Treatment Plant on its up-draught.
They Gulls have to make do, as there aren't many cliffs around these parts.

The tide was high.
It was fresh.

A November Sea in May, so soon after yesterdays summer-like  day.
Two hoods went up and hands were buried deep into coat pockets.
Bright white sea foam turned to yellow beach scum once it hand mingled with the sand.

Like whoever had gone before them, they made tracks in the slightly sheltered dunes as they headed for the stack.

Glimpses of the sea came and went.

Today's stack view.

Gulls drifted by.
The Skylarks seemed to grounded at the moment.

A wibbly wobbly way back through the dunes.

They rejoined the beach through the large gap in the dune edge.
A Storm Surge had punched its way through the dune edge a couple of years ago.

A slow walk back to hot coffee.

Allowed exercise done for the day.

BEACH BUOY.
