SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 02 MAY 2020. ALLOWED EXERCISE WALK.

Sunrise was 5-23 am
Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog left the house at 5-29 am
Birdsong filled the air as they walked down the street towards the dull orange glow that hung in the sky above the sea.
The Wind Turbines looked massive as they headed down Elizabeth Way. You would bet that they were situated on Seaton Beach, yet you go beyond the Golf Club and it seems like the Turbines have suddenly moved way to the South and about a mile out to sea.
It is an unusual optical illusion.

A few minutes later they reached the beach.
The Turbines had legged it.

The Orange glow had gone.

The Sun's rays travelled along the horizon as if rehearsing
for an up-coming concert.

Beach Buoy strained to listen. He thought he could hear a distant 'One, Two, One Two.'

They headed South and walked up to the strand line from the water's edge.

The first Sea Alley find for a while, thanks to the amount of shingle.

The headed to the Dune stack and listened to the Skylark's song for a while.
It lifts your soul as high as the Skylark's position in the sky as it sings its song for you.

They headed along to the North Gare Pier.
The tide was out so there was beach access.
Beach Buoy was so chuffed to see that the Sand Martins had returned.
First one then another and another; around twelve in total.
They swooped and dived.
They had travelled miles for this small exposed piece of dune edge beyond the World War two tank traps.
They began to peck at their dune homes in the sand wall.

Just about the worst wildlife photograph.
The Sand Martins returned 02 May 2020.

They headed back smiling.
Think even Stubborn Dog was glad to see the Sand Martin's return.

Gulls stood at the water's edge, recalling the days when the Streets were paved with chips.

See you tomorrow Sea.
The clouds moved south.
Blue Sky and Sun shone on the good people of Seaton Carew.

BEACH BUOY.
