SEATON SANDS, SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL, 27-03-16.

IT WAS A WINDY LATE AFTERNOON WALK. THE LIGHT NIGHTS WERE FINALLY GETTING A KICKSTART. I WOULD ADD ; SUMMER'S HERE.... BUT IT WAS A BITTERLY COLD WIND.

THE WIND HAD BLOWN ALL THE SOFT SAND OFF THE BEACH. THE SAND FROM THE DUNES HAD EITHER BLOWN OUT TO SEA OR GOT STUCK TO THE WET SAND LEFT BEHIND BY THE TIDE AND THE REGULAR HEAVY DOWNPOURS THAT WE HAD SUFFERED DURING THE DAY.

AS THE THE FINDS WOULD BE FEW  DUE TO THE WEATHER AND TIDE CONDITIONS, I LET OLD FLAPPY LUGS LEAD THE WAY. I DON'T LET HIM OFF THE LEAD MUCH AND HE ALWAYS WANTS TO SOMEWHERE YOU'RE NOT...IT'S A BIT OF A TUG OF WAR AT TIMES.

SO WE SET OFF; THE GOOD SHIP BEACHCOMBER.
TACKING OUR WAY INTO THE HEADWIND ZIG ZAGGING FROM DOG SCENT TO DOG SCENT AS THE CAPTAIN DICTATED , HEADING SOUTH. THE ABOVE IS A VIEW BACK TO THE VILLAGE.

WE MADE SLOW PROGRESS, WHAT WITH THE DOG SNIFFING AND ME SEEING THE ODD PIECE OF GLASS OR POT.

THE TIDE WAS JUST TURNING.

NOT MANY OTHER BEACHCOMBERS. IT WAS EASTER SUNDAY; WITH BETTER WEATHER THE BEACH WOULD BE FULL.

THE DOG STOPPED HERE BY THIS TIMBER; MADE HIS MARK...

THEN LOOKED PUZZLED AS TO WHY WOULD I TAKE A PHOTOGRAPH OF IT.

WE GOT AS FAR AS THE ROCKS AT THE SOUTH END OF THE BEACH... THEN A SUDDEN DROP IN TEMPERATURE, THE WIND GOT EVEN STRONGER.

THIS FELLOW WAS ON THE WAY, SO WE STEPPED UP THE PACE WITH THE WIND IN OUR SAILS AND HEADED NORTH.

SOME BIRDS ON THE WATER'S EDGE, STRUGGLED IN THE WIND. I THINK THEY WHERE SANDERLINGS... I STAND TO BE CORRECTED.

BEYOND THE NORTH GARE IS THE RIVER TEES AND INDUSTRY.

NOT MANY FINDS , BUT THE DOG WAS PLOTTING THE COURSE AND..... SNIFFING A GREAT DEAL.

A GOOD HAUL FOR MY #2MINUTEBEACHCLEAN

BEACH BUOY.
