SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL, 22, JUNE 2023

Another Dog never looks keen to go out.
She loves it when they do.
It was 7-50 p.m. when they arrived at the beach.

They headed down the access ramp.
A couple in front talked an East Europe language.
They carried a cushion.
Two young ladies were behind Beach Buoy and Another Dog.

"Do you think lm an alcoholic?"
No answer.
" I think l might be alcoholic."
she. Had made her own diagnosis.

It was a grand evening."
The East European couple sat on their cushion.
Other couple sat on sand.

Out in the bay, Gulls feasted on something on the sea surface.

A man fished with a small rod.

Beach Buoy thought a lady was doing extreme distant waving from the water's edge.
As he approach, he saw that she was doing Yoga-by-the-sea.

A Grey Ship left Port as they climbed The Sandy Slope.

"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 8-25 p.m.
Again, a fish jumped clear of the sea.

Beach Buoy made a note.
22/6/23.
The Skylarks still sang.

Overhead, six Gulls chased another for a scrap of food.

Looking North from Stubborn Dog Stack.
The fisherman still fished.

"See you mate."

They dawdled back.

The light was lovely.

Near the dunes, someone and left ten beer bottles.
Beach Buoy gathered them up and placed them in a nearby cardboard box.

21, JUNE, 2023. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

                  Beach Buoy and Another Dog
arrived in the beach car park at
8-25 p.m.
It was a packed car park.
A warm breeze blew.
A family sat with colourful but unnecessary windbreaks.

Toddlers riddled to the sea, way past their bedtime.

The tide was going out.

They headed south.
It was cooler down by the water's edge.

A bright red ship left the river.
Nearby, the Sea Serpent took some air before bed.
The man who walks miles and miles but doesn't always get a blog mention, walked some more.
The man usually looks like he is a world of his own.
Beach Buoy was surprised to see him stop to ost a small friendly dog.

A fish jumped clear of the sea before plopping back into it with a splash.

Another red ship left the river.

"Evening Mate."
It was 9 p.m.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
H patted
THE
stone.

The sunlight was stunning.
They went back to the beach.
"See you mate."

Beach Buoy said "Goodnight." to the Sea Serpent.
The Sea Serpent said "Goodnight "too.

A lady walked into the sea purposely as she took photographs.

The sea and the sky were almost as one.

Up ahead, people carried their shoes.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL, 20, JUNE, 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.
The day had seen rain upon rain.
It was almost 7 p.m.
The rain had stopped.

At the south end of the promenade, the early morning litter pick lady was having an evening visit.
She was chatting to a couple who were sat on the southern most Promenade bench.

The bottom of the access ramp was  flooded with rainfall.
Beach Buoy placed Another Dog on the ramps low wall.
The work) Life balance was better than wet paws.

They headed south.
The tide was quite high, having peaked earlier.
The post-rain sun had gone.
It was overcast now.
There was a pleasant breeze blowing off the sea.
They walked sand, shingle, shells and seacoal.

The air was full of the chatter of Little Terns.
Beach Buoy paused to make a note in his note book
20/6/23
Skylarks still singing.
He looked out to see.
Another Dog sniffed at the breeze that blew off the sea.
They headed up The Sandy Slope.
The rain-smoothed footprints looked like his from yesterday.

7-30 p.m.
"Mor, aft"
"Evening Mate."
He was tired and not fully sure just what time of day it was.
He patted
THE
stone.
He added more to the stack.

A man with earphones in passed by on the beach below.
He headed north oblivious to the sound of the Sea and the Skylarks.

"See you mate."
Back to the beach.

Their walk back was slow as usual.
A lady headed south with a Jack Russell and a flamboyant hat.

A man and woman appeared from the north.
They seemed to be a couple?
He was just overtaking her slower pace
He looked straight ahead as he walked.
The woman looked down to the sand.

Beach Buoy headed back to the van.
It was 8-06 p.m.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 19, JUNE, 2023

Monday evening, Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached a hot and sunny beach at Bob o'clock,

8-08 p.m.

The song "Young hearts run free." blasted out from a car radio.

By the time the village church bells rang for

8-15, Beach Buoy and Another Dog were almost by the sea.

They headed south.

Sunshine shadows led the way.
There were people on sand, people in sea and picnicked on the dune edge.

The tide was a good way out.
There was a welcome westerly breeze.

As they headed up the Sandy Slope, four low-level Sand Martins

8-43 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was hot.
As hot as a summer morning.

"See you mate."
The returned to the beach.

They began a slow walk back.

The reflected light on the wet sand was gorgeous.

A couple sat with their backs against a dune edge making promises and memories.

A Little Tern dropped to the sea.
It seemed to kiss it goodnight and then was gone.

The pinky-promise couple overtook Beach Buoy.
The smell of their deodorant passed by shortly afterwards.

Bells rang for 9-15 p.m.

The Sun was still up.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 18, JUNE 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 7-32 p.m.
Slight spots drifted around like day trippers waiting for the coach home.

Two girls sat on the low wall at the bottom of the beach access ramp.
"Ive literally used five gig in a week!"
Her companion replied,
"Aw look at that dog. So cute "
Beach Buoy and Cute Dog had reached the sand.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
It was muggy.
Every now and then a fog buzzer buzzed.

A very strange man overtook them.
He wore a black jacket more suited for a night out.
He marched about in a random pattern.
The way he swung his arms looked like there was a chance that he had left the coat hanger in the jacket when he put it on.
The man disappeared into the dunes.

Another Dog was loving life.
They had found a battered old football.
She after it.
She rolled over it.
She picked it up by a loose panel and shook it.

Down at the water's edge, a man headed north, taking his shoes for a walk as he splashed his way to the Village.

8-13 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Heavier spots of rain began to fall.

"See you mate."

They headed back.
 Two hoods went up.
Two hoods came down.
Two hoods went up.

A Parcel of Oyster Catchers flew quickly north.
Off to the Post Office to shelter from the rain.

Back at the van.
8-37 p.m.
A loud rumble of thunder..

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 18, JUNE 2023.

 Fathers Day.

Beach Buoy hasn't seen his since 1982.

He died suddenly aged 56.

It was a new beach book day.

Always great to have a reason to start writing in a new book

No blank page fear.

Committing to the chosen use, then having a change of plan.

The first page ruined.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off for the beach at 4-58 a.m.
As you can see from the photograph, she was super excited.
😬

They reached the Promenade
at 5-07.
They headed down the beach access ramp.

Two sunrise seekers sit with their dog they sat watching the sun rise up into the morning sky.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the water's edge.
They looked to the north.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
From a distance driftwood looked like a resting Mermaid.

Beach Buoy found a Mermaids necklace, tangled in some seaweed.
He untangled it as he sat on the driftwood mermaid.

A one "man" team distant wave approached.
Hugo and Little Fox too.
She said how wonderful the sunrise had been.

The very very wet Retriever and it's owner overtook Beach Buoy and Another Dog.
"Morning."
"Morning.'

Beach Buoy headed for the dune edge.
He sat and drank coffee.
Another Dog dug a hole and sat in it.

The beach was narrow due to the high tide.
The very very wet Retriever and owner were heading back.

Just sitting up on dune edge would avoid that awkwardness, like you meet an acquaintance in a supermarket aisle.
Then the next.
Then the next.
Then you think to move down three aisle only to find that they did the same!
They sat long enough to notice the beach was becoming wider as the tide pulled back.

Beach Buoy watched as Little Terns hovered like Kestrels before dropping like stones.
They took their catch to the nest site.

A very very wet Retriever leaves the sea.

As one ship leaves another heads towards the river.

The Sea Serpent.

They headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 6-20 a.m.
Beach Buoy sat drinking the last of the coffee as Bees bumbled on nearby yellow flowers.

Beach Buoy stood up.
Another twenty minutes of life had passed in a most delightful way.

Beach Buoy made a note,
18/06/23, Skylarks still singing.

"See you mate."

They headed back to the beach.

Beach found some fitting, coffee seaglass.

Mr Gunn/Nunn passed by with his lovely dog Alfie.
They had a nice chat.

They went their separate ways.

A King Charles Spaniel came to say hello.
As did it's owner.

"Morning."
"Morning."

Beach Buoy did a bit of a beach clean as they headed back.

The van waited patiently in the car park as Rita the Meter maid did her loose change rounds.

Others walked the beach as Beach Buoy drank van coffee.

Another Dog slept in the light breeze on the van's colourful floor.
