SEATON SANDS 22 SEPT 2020.

Tuesday 6-25 pm.
The Church Bells rang out at 6-30.
They headed south with a Seal for company.
The Seal dodged the camera as Seals seem to do.
He would up periscope every now and then to monitor just how busy the beach was.

They double stacked the stack to make up for last night's shortened walk.

SEATON SANDS , 21 SEPT 2020.

Monday.
6-20pm
It had been a sunny day and was still very warm.
People were making the most of it.

The tide was high.
There was lovely breeze from the west.
The sky was a perfect sky blue.

The high tide meant a narrow beach.
Too narrow and busy for Beach Buoy.
He headed to the dunes to see the sunset.

They headed for the sea front and drank coffee in the van.

 The Moon claimed the sky.
Beach Buoy listened to Jo Whiley on radio 2
Beach Buoy was mentioned the show.
Thank you.

SEATON SANDS, 20 SEPTEMBER 2020.

Stubborn Dog has many types of stubborn.

One is when Beach Buoy takes him out.

Beach Buoy will stand at the door; dog lead in hand.

'Out?'

'Beach?'

'Van?'

'Walk?'

In the end he has to give in and go and collect Stubborn Dog for the walk.

They reached the beach in time for sunrise..............

The three of them headed south... more about that later.

The high tide had not long turned.

The large piece of driftwood had help to create a mini cliff as the sea washed around then began to recede.

The sky was grey and the sea was green.

A drizzle drifted across the bay.

They sat at the grey rocks having a sit and think.

They... included Walter
today's guest beach buddy.

They headed back to the van.
They passed a recently burnt beach bonfire and its unmistakable aroma.

Beach Buoy made coffee and unwound a little more; the van does that.

18 Sept. 2020... SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at
around 6-20 pm
There was a strong breeze off the sea.
It was their first beach for few days.
It was so good to see and feel the beach once more.
They headed south.
They stacked the stack and headed
back.

16 September 2020.

It had been a hot night.

The house was warm holding the day's heat.

Beach Buoy was up before 5am.

He readied himself for work.

He set off very early allowing time to park up at the beach car park.

It was still dark, it was around 5-30am.

He had taken a thermal mug of hot coffee.

There was a very refreshing breeze.

The time for work.

A no beach day...

TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER, 2020. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

It was 6-33 pm.
It was muggy.
It was more muggy than when Malcom Muggeridge was Mugged by someone who stole his Mug.
They pulled into a packed car park.
An elderly woman was stood at a parking meter, looking confused.
Beach Buoy drove alongside...
'Excuse me, its free to park after 6'

'Oh thank you.' said the lady.

Beach Buoy parked up.
They headed for the access ramp.
A young couple with two dogs were trying to make sense of the stupid signage and map that shows the dog ban area of the beach.

'You're fine to walk down the ramp and go all the way to the river and beyond.'
'Oh Thank you, its very confusing isn't it.'

The beach was busy.
The tide was well out so it made it feel less so.
Te dog-ban couple went to the water's edge and took selfies with a sea backdrop, as their dogs played merrily in the water.....

Beach Buoy stacked the stack and headed back
They were needed as family taxi.

They drove to town and waited ....

MONDAY 14 SEPT 2020, SEATON SANDS , HARTLEPOOL.

It had been a very hot day.
They arrived at 6-34 pm
It was like a summer afternoon, even though it would be dark in less than two hours.

The tide was low.
Families lined the water's edge like a broken fence.
Some were heading back.
It felt like an end of day end to the day if that makes sense?

They stacked the stack as the sun headed for bed.

They headed back to the dune edge, then back onto the beach.

Beach Buoy loves the wet sand, the reflections that it gives and the feeling that you are out at sea, out in the bay.

The northern blues reflected as they had a slow walk back.

Over to the west, above the dunes, the yellow and oranges still claimed the sky.

Beach Buoy and his little stubborn mate, headed back....

SUNDAY 13 SEPT. 2020 SEATON SANDS.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at the
beach at 6-23 am.
He parked up and sipped a mouthful of hot coffee from his thermal mug.
The couple with a story of the own were already heading south along  the windswept beach.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog headed down to the water's edge.
The sunrise was up and gone in a few moments; cloud claimed the new day sun as its own.

The strong wind was dragging all of the soft sand from the dunes.

They stacked the stack at 7-01, then headed to the more sheltered, southern end of the beach.

Beach Buoy beach cleaned this damaged crab / lobster pot.

Much later, it was coffee down by the Village Green with one of the few TV shows Beach Buoy will make an effort to watch
BEACH BUOY.

SATURDAY 12 SEPT 2020, SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL AND HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND.

Beach Buoy woke at 5-20 am; the time his workday alarms goes off.
Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog left for the beach at 6-20 am; the time he normally leaves for work, during the week.

Sunrise came at 6-33.
Within minutes a family of four who had been waiting at the water's edge for the spectacle were on their way home; photos taken.

Why rush?
The whole view was perfect.

Even the Sea Serpent made an appearance.
He rolled about in the sea and the morning sun.

They headed south and stacked the stack
 at 7-05.
Then it was off to North Gare Pier Corner...

'Are you going to take am photograph of the rock pool or what?'

Yep!

They reluctantly said goodbye to the beach.

It was time to have a coffee in the van and to reflect on the fact that today mark 2 years since he had bought the van.

Later it was Hartlepool Headland and the war memorial.

... and Lighthouse.

BEACH BUOY.

FRIDAY 11 SEPT. 2020. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

It was 6-35 pm
Friday.
As they has passed the Golf Club, Beach Buoy noticed that the club's flag was at half-mast once again.
The owner of a Range Rover  that was parked in the beach car park had gone for the Seagull on the roof option.
There are that many Range Rovers about nowadays that it is one way of making one unique.
It looked as if the bird was actually interested in buying the car...
it had put a deposit on it after all .

A man walked along the promenade with three teenagers for company.
He looked like Catweazle, but they followed him as if he was The Pied Piper.
The teenagers all had skateboards, Catweazle had a beard.

They headed along the join of contorting sands.

They headed along to the stack and did what they do.

The headed back...
It looked like the last bus home had gone.

Sea Pottery  broken perfectly to show the flag
 of Mermaidia.

The tank traps...
The sea will win this war.

The ghost of a Zeppelin .
The bombed the town during the first world war.
One was shot down during the First World War, out in the Bay.
Its crew were buried with full Military honours
