24, JUNE 2026. SEATON SANDS, BARTLEPOOL.

 Wednesday morning.

5-49.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at Sandy Car Park.

The Little Terns were more vocal than visible.
Overnight HGVs sat on tick over.
Lots of sunshine.
Not a hint of a breeze.

Team One Black Ear were heading south along the water's edge.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

Someone to the north disturbed some of the Gulls that had gathered near to the wreck.

The tide was well out.

The wreck was on show.

Not all of the Gulls took flight.

Another Dog out the brakes on.
After a stand offs, they continued south.

They passed the piece of jagged steel that, from a distance it  looks like an everlasting Sand Castle.

They kept near the water's edge.
It felt a little cooler.

Out in the bay, Wind Turbines stood idle.

Another Dog looked back to the north.
Perhaps she was thinking...?!
"We could have been back at the Car Park by now."

A metal detectorist searched for other people's misfortune.

Sea swimmers headed to the water's edge and beyond.

Water's edge was a good call.

Way to the south, Team One Black Ear went for a paddle.

As their paths crossed Beach Buoy stopped to chat to Team One Black Ear.
Beach Buoy was informed.
"First day this year without a coat."

They walked the low level route.
Beach Buoy selected two Sturdy Stones.
They were added to the sea defence.

Up the small slope.

"Morning Mate."
It was 6-26.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
He scattered some seeds for the Crows.

They sat a while.
Sitting and thinking.

"See you mate."

Unmistakable Silhouette of a Little Tern.

Paul.
