Thursday morning.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the car park at 6-37.
It was a damp morning with more than a hint of mist.
Beach Buoy could see that the 7 a.m. club were heading south.
He headed directly towards to the sea, knowing they would turn back soon and they could chat.
They chatted before they returned north.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
The 7 a.m.club's merry band of murderous crows hung back somewhat suspiciously.
it was so very mild.
The tide was way out.
There was a figure way to the south.
Friend of foe?
Its hard to tell at times.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
A mix of mist and half-light made the Wind Turbines look more of a possibility than reality.
They continued south.
Raised sand areas would make temporary Islands as the tide returned.
It was Team One Black Ear that had been in the distance to the south.
Beach Buoy handed over another beach-found golf ball.
They chatted before Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed along the low level route.
Team One Black Ear headed back.
They had stopped to chat to the Beachcombinmg Border Colllie Couple.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-08.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a sit and think on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.
The sea and sky almost seemed to be one.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.
The Sea Serpent Marker almost looked to be becalmed.
The majority of sea birds seemed to be heading to the river.
Waves were breaking on the shoreline, their sound muffled by the mist.
The air was heavy with moisture.
The lady in the red coat and a brown dog called Jasper passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
They headed north at a quicker pace before veering off to the dunes.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog dawdled.
Team One Black Ear must have dawdled too?
They were just up ahead, chatting to Mr.Gunn/Lunn.
It was Basil Thursday.
Mr.Gunn/Lunn headed south .
They chatted.
Excellent Dog Alfie made a bee-line for Beach Buoy.
Beach Buoy gave him a good under the collar neck scratch.
They discussed the mild weather as Team One Black Ear continued north back to the Village.
They talked trousers.
Mr. Gunn/Lunn was wearing shorts.
"When am l ever going to wear trousers?
Beach Buoy recalled a line from a TV show from his childhood.
Last of the Summer Wine.
He seemed to recall it was the lady who owned the cafe who said
"Men are only happy doing anything if it involves them taking their trousers off."
A bit like the Stan Laurel line
"I was dreaming l was awake but then l woke up and found myself asleep."
Some lines people say in life or in fiction stay with you forever.
You know the ones.
Think back.
Correct.
Mr. Gunn/Lunn laughed.
"I'll have to have that on a stone."
He, Borrowed Basil and Excellent Dog continued south.
Not all wrecks are made of wood.
BEACH BUOY.
