Thursday morning.
After yesterday's cold bite, it was surprisingly mild.
They arrived at 6-48.
They headed down the beach access ramp situated at the south end of The Esplanade.
Out at sea there seemed to be more than the usual number of ship's lights dotted along the horizon.
Another Dog was spooked by a dog approaching with a flashing blue light.
Beach Buoy wasn't sure just who it was with the dog.
It was Team One Black Ear.
The blue light was new to Beach Buoy and Another Dog.
They headed south together, chatting as they walked.
Someone to the south was wearing a head torch.
They and their light disappeared into the dunes.
A lady also wearing a head torch jogged the water's edge with two small dogs.
It was still quite dark, they couldn't make out who it was.
It could be the lady they all sometimes pass and chat to in the Summer?
Team One Black Ear started a dog groom.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the low level route.
They reached Stubborn Dog Stack at 714.
"Morning Mate."
He added five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
The jogging lady had stopped for a sit and think on the grey rocks down on the beach below.
She stood to return north.
She saw and recognised Beach Buoy up at the stack.
"Morning!"
"Morning!"
Beach Buoy added a double-arm not so distant wave.
She returned to the north, passing Team One Black Ear as she did so.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.
The tide was working its way out.
They were headed north.
Beach Buoy had brought a tub of bird seed.
He caught a Crow's attention.
He scattered some seeds on the beach.
As Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked away the bird came to investigate.
It wasn't to be disappointed.
The stranger with a beard and a pocket full of sweets headed south.
"Morning."
"Morning."
Tangles of seaweed had come ashore.
Team Muzzled Dog headed south.
"Morning!"
"Hiya!"
The man who once had four dogs passed by with three.
"Morning."
"Morning."
BEACH BUOY.
