SATURDAY 2nd of FEB. 2019. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy had been to work.
The slightest hint of
light nights and the need for some "me" time pointed Beach Buoy and two dogs into the direction of the beautiful but fresh  North Sea.

It had been high tide around two hours earlier as Beach Buoy and two dogs headed South. The Slate Grey Sea was glorious, juxtaposed as it was, against the white breaking waves which contrasted and complimented it all in one.
The chilly weather had an upside in that the post high tide beach had just one set of footprints had travelled it's length; North.
Beach Buoy had walked this beach so many times in so many  different frames of mind.
Today was the first day that he had noticed the shadows of the turbine blades travel the length of the bold white turbine towers.
Today the light was different.
Today the light was new.
Seagulls travelled the water's edge with their usually white bellies glowing pink and gold from the setting sun reflecting upon the slate grey sea below.

Old nets and crab pots and the likes are known as #ghostfishinggear they can be such a danger to wildlife.
Beach Buoy carried this one upto the dunes and carried it back to the promenade bins on the way back to the van.

A Horseshoe for luck and seaglass.

The horseshoe cleared of its concretion.
Good Luck.
5-10 pm
Light enough for yet another photograph of the van.
It is looking a little bit dirty; wash and wax again tomorrow.

Moments later, the sky darkens and Seagulls return to the safety of the sea once again.

Day off tomorrow so wine and snacks are involved as Beach Buoy does THE BLOG .. Stubborn Dog is stretching longer and longer trying to reach the snack bowl.

A Beautiful painting of Stubborn Dog as captured by Northern Ireland Artist and blog reader
Tracey McKane.
She has caught "That" look perfectly.
I'm so pleased with it.
