REMEMBERANCE SUNDAY. 08-11-15 MIDDLETON BEACH,HARTLEPOOL.

GOT THE CAR BACK AFTER IT'S SAFETY CHECK YESTERDAY AS SOME OF THEM HAD BEEN FOUND TO CATCH FIRE. I DROVE THE FOUR MILES OR SO DOWN TO FERRY ROAD IN MIDDLETON.
THE BUILDING IN THE BACKGROUND IS ALL THAT REMAINS OF THE PLACE I SERVED MY APPRENTICESHIP.
YOU MAY BE ABLE TO MAKE OUT SOME LADDERS WITH A HOOPED SAFETY CAGE?
I MADE AND FITTED THESE AS AN APPRENTICE....MANY  MANY YEARS AGO.

I PARKED NEAR THE LIFEBOAT STATION.
THIS CHAP HAD PARKED HIMSELF THERE TOO.

TIDE FAIRLY LOW; THE VIEW ACROSS THE HARBOUR.
HARTLEPOOL LIFEBOAT IN FOREGROUND AND ST. HILDA'S CHURCH IN THE DISTANCE.

SLIPSTREAM SLIPS OUT TO SEA.

MIDDLETON BEACH LOOKING SOUTH.

THE LADS HAD BEEN TAKING A LOOK AT THE SEA COAL, TO SEE IF WAS WORTH COLLECTING.

ACROSS TO SEATON CAREW.

SHIPWRECK TIMBERS.

LOADS OF SEAGLASS ON THIS BEACH , JUST CANNOT RESIST PICKING IT UP WHEN IT IS LIT BY THE MORNING SUN.

TURBINES IN THE BAY.

JUST BEYOND THAT LAST PIECE OF LAND LIES WHITBY...
40 MILES BY ROAD.

MUST HAVE BEEN ENOUGH SEACOAL TO MAKE A COLLECTION.
