THE SMALL PATCH OF SAND SHOWN TO THE LEFT , BELOW THE TOWN WALL IS KNOWN AS THE FISH SANDS. THE AREA BEHIND THE WALL IS THE CROFT AREA. IN YEARS GONE BY THIS AREA WAS ALL ALLEYS AND PASSAGES A LITTLE LIKE WHITBY OR ROBIN HOOD'S BAY. THE POWERS THAT BE FLATTENED IT ALL AND BUILT ON TOP.
THE LOW TIDE MEANT ROCK POOLS AND IT IS ALWAYS NICE TO SEE SOME POOL LIFE.
AS I HAVE SAID IN THE PAST, BEACHCOMBING ETC IS A LITTLE DIFFICULT AT TIMES WITH THESE TWO STRAPPED TO ME. |
