SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 12 JULY 2023.
Wednesday.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog arrived at 6-40 p.m
A sports team had began to gather on the promenade.
It was raining out in the bay.
The tide was way out.
They headed south.
As he walked, Beach Buoy returned more of his seaglass and sea pottery finds to the sea.
All as worn as sea-tumbled pebbles.
No sharpe edges.
Hopefully someone else will find enjoy them.
He still will be keeping the very special pieces.
Spots of rain came and went as they continued south.
Hoods went up and down on more than one occasion.
Every now and then, a band of sunlight would race along the length of the beach.
"Evening Mate."
It was 7-08.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
The view North.
The view west.
New wind turbines being loaded for transportation.
"See you mate."
They all returned to the beach below.
The Sea Serpent Marker.
They began to make their way northwards.
A sports team ran up and down the slopes of the dune edge.
Beach Buoy and the dogs took a flatter, slower route
A carried coat.
The man had paused to watch the sea and perhaps listen to the chatter of the Little Terns.
Swimmers swam.
Dune dwellers dwelled.
Yachts sailed.
The sun looked down on them all.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 11, JULY, 2023.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog were going to go to the beach at 6 p.m.
It was too hot.
They finally arrived in the car park at 7-25.
Rain followed a minute later.
It was still sunny in places.
Even though there was some areas of brightness, angled rain fell out in the bay.
A made coffee that was meant for Stubborn Dog Stack, was consumed as Beach Buoy watched the progress of the rainfall.
A puzzled-looking family with dogs, stood at the top of the beach access ramp before deciding to head to the sands.
The rainfall crossed the bay, from north to south.
Hints of a rainbow came as the beach rain stopped.
They set off.
It was 7-38.
Two people with six dogs headed north on the dune edge.
The puzzled ramp family were already heading back to the car park.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued southwards.
At 8-02, the sun broke free of a dark cloud.
Patches of sunlight escaped across the beach.
Their sunshine shadows joined them for the walk.
Odd light struck into the horizon.
A group came into view.
They chatted.
It was Narla and Pip and their owner and daughter.
They wished each other well before heading in opposite directions.
"Evening Mate."
It was 8-16.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was hot.
"See you later mate."
Beach Buoy and Another Dog went and sat in the shade of the high dune edge, directly below the stack.
The view North to Seaton Carew from the height of Stubborn Dog Stack.
Coffee was drank in the shade cast by the high dune edge.
Then a slow walk back.
The Orange coat came off.
It was draped over his beach bag.
They approached the car park.
Almost 9 p.m. and still very warm.
Beach Buoy changed out of his beach boots as he sat on the van's side door step.
Overhead the sky seemed full of generations of Little Terns.
The young building up their strength for the long journey ahead.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 10 JULY 2023.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the
beach at 6-30 p.m.
It was overcast, muggy and looked like it may rain.
Sea swimmers hurried to the sea.
Afterall, they wouldn't want to be getting wet?
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
It began to rain.
The rain was warm.
The tide was way out.
Hoods went up.
The rain sounded loud.
The rain stopped.
Seaside silence
Hoods came down.
Even though it had just rained , it still felt warm.
It began to rain once more.
Hoods went back up.
A band of rain passed at a distance.
The beach felt sun-kissed although it was dull.
The sea looked to be Teal Green.
The sky as bruised as a black eye.
The headland wore a grey raincoat like some 1950's private eye..Seaton Carew wore a summer dress but had a transparent
Pac-a-mac within easy reach should it be needed.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached Stubborn Dog Stack.
He added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Evening Mate."
The view North from Stubborn Dog Stack to Seaton Carew.
"See you mate."
They walked towards the Sandy Slope as more rainfall passed by at distance.
They had a slow walk back to the van.
A motorhome pulled up.
The driver came over.
A man who spoke no English communicated with a man who spoke no French with the use of a translate app on the visitors phone.
Yes parking is free until 9 a.m.
The two men shook hands.
The Frenchman returned to his vehicle.
Minutes later he and his partner were walking along the beach.
It's just as well they didn't have a dog as the dog ban sign is double Dutch and there is no app for that.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.9, JULY, 2023
Beach Buoy had been up until after midnight, drawing.
He woke and thought to himself
5-08 spot on.
He reached for his mobile phone to check the time.
5-08.
Spot on.
He went downstairs.
He made coffee and prepared to go to the beach.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.
They had set off at 5-53 a.m.
They reached the car park at 6-08.
Beyond the Promenade wall, Little Terns patrolled their air space.
The 7 a m. Club were already well south.
The 4x4 Border Collie were beyond them.
A man on a bike cycled to the south end of the Promenade.
He dismounted.
He leaned on the wall, looking across the beach.
The tide was well in.
Beach Buoy paused
It had rained overnight.
The air was fresh but not chilled.
Quiet to the north.
A couple of sunrise seekers had been sat watching the sun.
They headed south.
The 7 a.m. club and the 4x4 Border Collie Couple where up ahead.
Little Terns filled the air.
It looked like parents were teaching the young where to fly to?
Where to fish?
Up ahead the 4x4 Border Collie Couple returned north via the dunes.
In time the 7 a.m. club came by.
Mari the big friendly poodle came up to Beach Buoy. She leaned against his leg and looked up as he gave her a neck scratch.
"Tell you what Paul, you certainly have the X-factor."
They chatted about tides and tall ships before going their separate ways.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning Mate."
It was 6-43.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
"See you mate "
The returned to the beach below.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog sat on the dune edge in front of Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy drank coffee.
A lady with a Spaniel passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
He watch as seven Oyster Catchers flew south.
A Cormorant crossed the bay like a skimmed stone.
Tugs waited for a red ship to arrive.
A fish jumped clear of the sea just ahead of them.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple walked the water's edge.
They turned at the Grey Rocks before heading back north.
Team Muzzled Dog came along from the north.
"Morning."
"Hiya."
They headed further south via the dune edge.
Beach Buoy sat watching a jack-up vessel lift anchor and head for the river like a modern day tall ship.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog began to head North.
They walked along the water's edge.
Beach Buoy looked across the bay.
The tall ships had began to head out.
Beach Buoy won't be going to see them.
He didn't last time they came.
Mr Gunn/Nunn came by.
He had that relieved look of recent retirement.
He told Beach Buoy that the drawing that he had done for him had taken pride of place.
They went their separate ways.
A very small friendly black dog came over.
The owner and Beach Buoy chatted a while.
BEACH BUOY.
Saturday, 8 July 2023
SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 08, JULY, 2023.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off on foot and paw at 5-05 a m.
It was already bright and warm.
Beach Buoy caught glimpses of the risen Sun between the rooftops as they headed to the beach.
A bright Orange Digger trundled across the Golf Club like a tiptoeing dinosaur.
Although it was sunny, a large silver moon hung in the air above the Cricket Club as though it had been hit for six.
They reached the Promenade at 5-20 a.m.
Two ladies sat on the sand, close to the end of the beach access.
They vaped as they chatted to one another.
Little Terns filled the morning air
It really did look as if they were preparing to leave?
The sea was sparkling.
Smooth sands waited to be walked.
It would have to wait a while longer.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog sat down on the sands.
Beach Buoy made notes.
Another Dog waited patiently, she was finally realising what is all about.
They rose before walking to the edge of the sea.
It was gorgeous and for now at least it was theirs.
The temperature and emptiness of the beach suited Beach Buoy perfectly.
They headed south.
5-59 a.m.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the stack.
It was full sun, but the moon was still high in the sky behind them over the dunes.
It seemed to be pulling in the tide like a cast fishing net.
Another Dog laid in the shadow of some high dune grass.
They sat a while.
"See you mate."
They headed to the Sandy Slope.
No sooner had they descended the slope, they had another sit and think.
The dune edge made a much more comfortable seat than a stone at the stack.
Beach Buoy made some notes.
No Gannets.
No Skylark song.
No Dolphins.
There was a Spider.
One of those with a tiny ball for a body with enormous legs
Beach Buoy watched it's progress along the beach.
It was a glorious morning.
In time, the 7 a m. Club appeared in the distance to the north.
Beach Buoy stood
They headed back.
"Morning."
"Morning."
the 7 a.m club passed by.
They walked the water's edge.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the Clock Tower.
The clock is working but showing an incorrect time.
They sat in the shelter of the Bus Station for a while.
BEACH BUOY.
