Thursday morning.
It was 5-58.
It was minus one degree centigrade.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog had parked in Sandy Car Park.
They headed to the beach.
The air was almost still but fully chilled.
Out in the bay, a breeze must have been blowing as the turbines were spinning.
For a change and a chance of different photographs, they cut through between an outcrop of dune grass and the full blown dune edge.
He could see a rough sea through ahead.
Looking north towards the village.
The sunrise had been claimed by the low cloud.
He collected five suitable stones.
They headed south.
The tide was well in.
Cold fingers pulled up two hoods.
The same fingers wished that they had picked up a pair of gloves.
Coat pockets would have to do.
It was cold.
The Sea Serpent Marker.
Sensibly, the Sea Serpent must have chosen to stay in his under sea cave today.
Beach Buoy paused.
He looked around.
The beach was theirs.
He remembered.
Count your blessings.
Others arrived.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the low level route.
He added two sturdy stones to the base of the small slope.
Up the slope to Stubborn Dog Stack.
"Morning Mate."
It was 6-36.
He added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He had a stand, a think and a hot coffee as he watched the beach below.
The Crow flew overhead.
It landed on the grey rocks just in front of the stack.
It made it's presence heard.
Beach Buoy took the hint.
He scattered some seeds.
"See you mate."
He and Another Dog slipped their way down the small slope.
Moments later...
The Crow 🐦⬛.
It dropped down to a lower level giant pencil.
It returned to the safety of the higher pencil.
A fluke photograph.
Thank goodness for flukes.
Another Dog led the way.
The lady who walks the full length of the beach passed by, heading south.
"Morning."
"Morning."
A happy-sounding lady and her two dogs played at the water's edge.
Up ahead, the Sunderland supporter and his Bosnian rescue dog Kira.
Beach Buoy went over to chat.
The happy lady and her dogs headed south.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued north.
Team Muzzled Dog were heading south.
"Morning."
"Hiya."
Half distant waves were added for luck.
A lady took a large coffee and a small dog to the dune edge.
She sat.
Sit and thinker.
Coffee drinker.
Up on the Esplanade, Beach Buoy chatted to Mr. Gunn/Lunn.
Excellent Dog Alfie was too busy for a neck scratch.
There was important sniffing to be done along the way.
BEACH BUOY.
