SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 20, JULY 2025.

 Sunday.

It was somewhere between

6-20 and 6-30 a.m.

Unusually, Beach Buoy hadn't made a note of the exact time of arrival.

😱

Another morning fog hung around with nothing better to do.
Visibility was better than the previous morning.

A lady in sportswear took a picture of the fog and the sea from the Esplanade.

The lady who once fell off her bike was already heading back north on foot.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed
to the beach access ramp.

A man with a walking stick and some discomfort headed along the Esplanade.
"Morning."
"Morning."
replied the man.
There was an inbuilt chuckle at the end of the word.
Like a hint.
It made Beach Buoy think that it signalled - "I'm O.K. but this is really hard."

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the sea.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

Beach Buoy up the camera zoom to the south.
Regulars all present and correct.
7 a.m. club.
Beachcombing Border Collie Couple
Team One Black Ear.
All was well.

The tide was well out.
To the north, The Seaton Carew Wreck laid, exposed by the low tide.

It was a mild and muggy morning.
A Silver Sun cast moonlight-like light out to sea.

The 7 a.m. club approached.
It was a two dog, no hat day.
"Morning Paul."
(This Paul.)
"Morning Geoff."
They chatted.
Geoff was regretting putting a big coat on.
They recalled beach visits inclement weather, agreeing that those days were wonderful too.
"Come out like a kid wanting to try out their new wellies."
The pair always count their blessings.
Before parting, Beach Buoy was treated to a rendition of a hymn.
🎵🎶
”Count your blessings,
Count your blessings..."
They went their separate ways.
It had been a wonderful chat.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were heading back to the north.
They were searching the strand-line.
Meanwhile their Border Collie was having the best of days, down by the sea.
If dogs can count their blessings, then this one was today.
It ran the water's edge.
North to South.
South to North.
It spun on the spot.
It chased invisible Gulls, taking flight.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued heading south.
Only ghosts of Wind Turbines stood out in the bay.
