SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL, 12 JULY 2020.

It was a Sunny Sunday Morning.
It was 6-15 am.
There was a breeze from the south west.
The tide was well out.

A Police Car was parked in the car park.
Two Policemen were stood on the beach, talking to two young ladies who were half their size.

The sky was blue as could be.

The sunlight made the footprints up on the dune banks look like planished sheets of copper.
They added more of their own as the went up to stack the stack.

Beach Buoy didn't take any photographs from the stack.
A couple were sat nearby on a driftwood bench.
They had their own story.
It was theirs to tell, not Beach Buoy's.

They went back down to the Beach and had a sit and think.
The tide was coming in and would move them on before too long.

The driftwood couple set off back to the North and began the next chapter.

Time and tide wait for no man and Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog left the grey rocks behind as the sea moved them on.
The Sun warmed their backs as they headed back.
The 7 am club were off in the distance getting closer and closer.

A young couple passed Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog ahead of the 7 am club.
They sat on the large piece of driftwood that had arrived in the last few days.
A driftwood bench with a view.

The 7 am club passed.
Mari the Poodle came over twice to say 'Hello' and 'Hello again.'
As Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog left the beach, Beach Buoy glanced to the South.
The second driftwood couple had stood up and were heading back.
The girl wrote in the sand as the man watched
x
loves
y
maybe?

This love would only last a short while; the sea was on its way to erase it.
Maybe their love would last forever?

Beach Buoy was close to the van, when he read a message from one of his daughters.
She, a pushchair and an awake since 5am grand daughter were heading to the beach.

They arranged to meet  down near the crazy golf.
Beach Buoy had a cup of tea ready for their arrival.
It was an unexpected but very enjoyable meeting..
