DOG ON THE BEACH.

This chap has just won COAST magazine dog of the month for Jan. 2018.

COAST MAGAZINE.
He is my  Beach Buddy...
here are some more of him.

Sometimes it's all too much.

At Seaham.

Here he is a few years back.
He becomes much darker if his fur grows.

SEATON SANDS 27 NOVEMBER 2017.

An after work visit.
It was soon dark.
Was saddened to hear about a Seal seen on the Headland at the weekend with a line around it's neck. The seal returned to the water before help arrived. On Sunday a Whale was seen near Longscar rocks at Seaton Carew tangled in ropes the RNLI attended but it returned to the deep still tangled.

26 NOVEMBER 2017. SEATON SANDS AND MIDDLETON BEACH.

Another early start on a bright and chilly day.

I stood and waited for the Sun to appear.

i love walking towards Sunrises and late Summer Sunsets.

Sunrise sea glass.

I often wonder what finds are and where they are from.

I headed to Middleton Beach

Tiny Glass bead.

Across to Seaton Carew.

Middleton Bank top is a dumping ground!

Today's finds.

25 NOVEMBER 2017, SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL AND SEAHAM HALL BEACHES.

Arrived about 8-20a.m. ; a bit later than usual but as high tide was around 7 a.m.  I waited to give the tide a chance to turn a little and widen the dog walking corridor.

The air was clear and cold.

The receding Sea left a pattern behind the pebbles as it went.
To me they looked like little comets trying to evade the cold North Sea.

Orange sea glass segment.

Sea glass heart...

Short days mean long shadows.
Even pebbles leave their stretching tippy toed mark.

A.D.

Beautiful!
A great way to end the Seaton Carew visit.

Seam Hall Beach next .... heading North.

Rock'n'hole.

Turned back at the stack. The much photographed Seaham Pier is in the far distance.

Heading Back to car.

Seaton Carew finds.

Seaham finds.

SEATON SANDS 23 NOVEMBER 2017.

ARRIVED AT ABOUT 4-10 PM.
HIGH TIDE WOULD BE 6-03 PM.

HEADED SOUTH AS PER USUAL.

THE CLOUDS TO THE SOUTH WERE IMPRESSIVE.
THE LIGHT FADED AS IT DOES AND I HEADED BACK IN DARKNESS.

SEATON SANDS 20 NOVEMBER 2017.

An after work dash to the beach before the light faded.

4-24pm ... bang on high tide.
It was a mild 11 degrees a pleasant night.

BEACH BOY.

SEATON SANDS AND HARTLEPOOL'S HEADLAND 19 NOVEMBER 2017.

There wasn't a stick of heat in the Sun.
The temperature was in the minus range.

The cold didn't matter.

I won't be going to Heaven.
If I was then this is the type of view I would expect on my arrival. A beach and all of my pets from the past waiting for me somewhere between the Sea and the Strand line.

The Cold Sea was wild in the Bay.

I liked the pattern that the Sea had left on the Sand as it headed out to regroup.

I found some yellow sea glass.
It looked like a piece of the Sun...

A BIT FELL OF THE SUN TODAY
IT LANDED ON THE BEACH
A BIT OF SUN FROM FAR AWAY
IT'S NORMALLY OUT OF REACH
A BIT OF SUN WAS LAYING THERE
I PUT IT IN MY POCKET
IT SAVED A FORTUNE TO BE FAIR
NO NEED TO BUY "THAT" ROCKET

and then later that day
it was off to Hartlepool's Headland.

Silvery Sun in contrast to this morning's light.
