ARRIVED AROUND 6pm. IT WAS A NICE EVENING. TWO DOGS IN TOW. |
WE SAT AND WATCHED THIS LITTLE CHAP FROM A DISTANCE. I AM NO EXPERT BUT HE LOOKED O.K. AND SEEMED TO BE RESTING AND ENJOYING A BIT OF A SUNBATHE? IF I HAD ANY CONCERNS I WOULD HAVE CONTACTED THE B.D.M.L.R. AS I HAVE IN THE PAST. THEY WERE GREAT AND HERE IS THEIR WEBSITE.... BDMLR MY MOBILE PHONE TAKES PRETTY GOOD PHOTOGRAPHS BUT ON THIS ONE I NEEDED TO KEEP MY DISTANCE AND THE ZOOM ISN'T THE BEST. |
FINALLY IT WAS TIME TO HEAD BACK. NIGHTS ARE DRAWING IN AT AN ALARMING RATE. I AM GOING TO MISS THE LIGHT NIGHTS MORE THAN I EVER HAVE. BEACH BUOY. |
Arrived around 6-15pm. The tide was a fair way out, but coming in. |
As soon as I got down to near the strand line I spotted this beauty. |
We crossed over to The Blue Lagoon and spotted this camp fire set up in the Dune area. |
Back onto Seaton Sands, I spotted this. |
Time to head back. |
The Sunset was staggering. My mobile's Camera doesn't do it justice this time. |
Tonight's finds. |
I placed the blue glass bead together with the other glass and stone beads that I have collected whilst beach combing. BEACH BUOY. |
ARRIVED AT THE BEACH ONE MINUTE BEFORE SUNRISE. |
IT IS AMAZING HOW QUICKLY THE SUN MOVES UP ABOVE THE HORIZON. THE LIGHT WAS FANTASTIC. |
THE GOLDEN SEA. |
LOOKING FOR A QUICK BROWN FOX............. |
EARLY BIRD. |
BEACH BOTTLENECK. |
WE SAT WAITING TO SEE IF THE FISH WERE JUMPING AGAIN, LIKE YESTERDAY. I THINK THIS SEAL HAD MUCH THE SAME IDEA? |
ACROSS TO NORTH GARE. |
BEACH MATES. BEACH BUOY. |
We arrived on the beach at around 7-20 am just as three Tugs came out from the River Tees, to guide a large ship into Port. |
It was a little odd as to the North it was just a little dull, whereas out to Sea and to the South a Lemon Sky hung over the Bay for well over an hour. Usually you get a dramatic colour and it is a matter of take the photograph now or in the blink of an eye it's gone. |
The Sky was like one big cloud, vanishing into the Lemon strip in the distance. I thought that if rotated the sky would look like or could be the land to a daydreamer like me. |
This way up the sky looks like a Beach left as the tide receded, with little pools of water left in the rippled sand. Or maybe it's just me; like I said a bit of a daydreamer at times. |
We sat for a good while just looking at the Sea and Sky. |
The older Dog has seen it all before and sometimes takes the chance to grab a nap if we stop... on a comfy rock! |
An early morning start to the day today. It was a glorious morning. |
The tide was well up. |
A few Dog walkers around . |
After a sit and think it was time to head back to the car. |
I went and bought breakfast and sat at Newburn Bridge. |
My Great Great Grandfather was awarded the Sea Gallantry Medal in 1901 for his part of the Trio rescue at Newburn Bridge. |
Made this years ago from driftwood and seaglass; it hangs in my car as do some others. |
I then cycled to Hartlepool Marina. Above is The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool |
It was heading towards lunchtime, but for some the Beach was just waking. |

Evening saw me back on the Beach. |
See you tomorrow sunshine. BEACH BUOY. |
