SEATON SANDS 31 AUG. 2017.

A HORSE AND RIDER ARRIVED AT THE BEACH AS WE DID.

AN OLD DRUM AND A PIPE UNCOVERED BY THE TIDE TODAY AND BY THE SHIFTING SANDS IN RECENT WEEKS.

BALLOONS KILL WILDLIFE!

NO SEAL TONIGHT, ONLY THE SEA, SAND AND SKY FOR COMPANY.

SOMEONE'S BEACH ART.

ONCE MORE THE SUN WAS EAGER TO SET SAIL ON ANOTHER PART OF THE WORLD.
DREADING LONG DARK NIGHTS, THINK IT WORKS OUT WE LOSE ABOUT 15 MINUTES A WEEK, JUST OF COUPLE OF MINUTES A DAY BUT ADDS UP TO AROUND AN HOUR A MONTH.

SEATON SANDS 30 AUG.2107

ARRIVED AROUND 6pm.
IT WAS A NICE EVENING.
TWO DOGS IN TOW.

WE SAT AND WATCHED THIS LITTLE CHAP FROM A DISTANCE.
I AM NO EXPERT BUT HE LOOKED O.K. AND SEEMED TO BE RESTING  AND ENJOYING A BIT OF A SUNBATHE?
IF I HAD ANY CONCERNS  I WOULD HAVE CONTACTED
THE B.D.M.L.R. AS I HAVE IN THE PAST.
THEY WERE GREAT AND HERE IS THEIR WEBSITE....
BDMLR
MY MOBILE PHONE TAKES PRETTY GOOD PHOTOGRAPHS BUT ON THIS ONE I NEEDED TO KEEP MY DISTANCE AND THE ZOOM ISN'T THE BEST.

FINALLY IT WAS TIME TO HEAD BACK.
NIGHTS  ARE DRAWING IN AT AN ALARMING RATE.
I AM GOING TO MISS THE LIGHT NIGHTS MORE THAN I EVER HAVE.

SEATON SANDS 29 AUG 2017 . (HBJ)

Arrived around 6-15pm.
The tide was a fair way out, but coming in.

As soon as I got down to near the strand line I spotted this beauty.

We crossed over to The Blue Lagoon and spotted this camp fire set up in the Dune area.

Back onto Seaton Sands, I spotted this.

Time to head back.

The Sunset was staggering. My mobile's Camera doesn't do it justice this time.

Tonight's finds.

I placed the blue glass bead together with the other glass and stone beads that I have collected whilst beach combing.

27 AUG 2017 .. SEATON CAREW for a second visit of the day.

Second visit of the day.

BEACH BUOY.

27 AUG 2017. SEATON CAREW.

We arrived on the beach at around 7-20 am just as three Tugs came out from the River Tees, to guide a large ship into Port.

It was a little odd as to the North it was just a little dull, whereas out to Sea and to the South a Lemon Sky hung over the Bay for well over an hour. Usually you get a dramatic colour and it is a matter of take the photograph now or in the blink of an eye it's gone.

The Sky was like one big cloud, vanishing into the Lemon strip in the distance.
I thought  that if rotated the sky would look like or could be the land to a daydreamer like me.

This way up the sky looks like a Beach left as the tide receded, with little pools of water left in the rippled sand.
Or maybe it's just me; like I said a bit of a daydreamer at times.

We sat for a good while just looking at the Sea and Sky.

The older Dog has seen it all before and sometimes takes the chance to grab a nap if we stop... on a comfy rock!

Well over an hour after arriving, we started to head back; the Sky still had the glow.As we left our resting point a fish jumped ,arched out of the water three times and almost ended up on the sand. It was too quick for me to grab me phone to take a photograph but was great to see nonetheless.

Once back, I cycled the length of the Esplanade to the Marina and back.
I took this photograph of a sea coal gatherer collecting a load for the distant pick up truck to come and collect.
It's the sort of photograph one could imagine a Magazine or Newspaper would use to pin a "Run down."or "Bleak" badge on the area. Hopefully regular readers of the blog have seen a better view of the Town, Bay, Beach and area in general?
I hope so.

26 AUG 2107 BEACH AND STUFF.

An early morning start to the day today.
It was a glorious morning.

The tide was well up.

A few Dog walkers around .

After a sit and think it was time to head back to the car.

I went and bought breakfast and sat at Newburn Bridge.

My Great Great Grandfather  was awarded the Sea Gallantry Medal in 1901 for his part of the Trio rescue at Newburn Bridge.

Made this years ago from driftwood and seaglass; it hangs in my car as do some others.

I then cycled to Hartlepool Marina.
Above is The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool

It was heading towards lunchtime, but for some the Beach was just waking.

Evening saw me back on the Beach.

See you tomorrow sunshine.
