Number Seven of my top ten beach finds was found on North Gare Beach at the mouth of the River Tees. It was low tide as I crossed the sands. I saw what I thought was a machine cog in the buried in the sand. In fact it was the end of the knife , just sticking proud of the sand. I pulled on the "Cog." and the knife appeared like excalibur, but from the sand ... not a stone. It stays in the house, it's not the type of thing you would take out.... but I do like the shark-like design.
