Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at Sandy Car Park in Seaton Carew.
Barriers had been placed up against the Esplanade Wall.
They are for tomorrow night's fireworks display.
It seems a little early this year but next weekend would be after the event.
It's Guy Fawkes night in England on November 5th.
They headed down the beach access ramp.
They headed to the tidal sands.
Beach Buoy selected five suitable stones.
There was plenty of choice
Recent storms had stripped soft dry sand from the non-tidal part of the beach
It resembled a badly cobbled street.
They made their way southwards.
They had arrived after sunrise.
Low cloud and a hint of mist meant that it was a glowing blush backdrop to the Piers of the River Tees.
Team One Black Ear were to the south.
They took feed the Crows so they had company on their return journey to the north.
They chatted as they paused then passed one another.
The North end of the beach was still quiet.
It was just sand, seacoal and Gulls.
They walked the water's edge.
