01 FEB. 2017. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

IT WAS ANOTHER TORCHLIT BEACH WALK TONIGHT.
ONE OF THE TORCHES I USE IS PARTICULARLY BRIGHT AND AT TIMES I STOP IN THE DARKNESS TO SHINE LIGHT ON WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN UNSEEN WAVES FORMING, MAKING A CREST AND EVENTUALLY BREAKING ONTO THE BEACH.

AS YOU MAY SEE, I DID A BIT OF A BEACH TDY.
A BROKEN CRAB OR LOBSTER POT
AND A SEPARATE LENGTH OF ROPE WITH A NASTY NOOSE TYPE KNOT ON THE END.

I MANAGED TO FIND A FEW PIECES IN THE  GLOOM.
THE TIDE WAS FAIRLY HIGH BUT LUCKILY THE SEA HAD  LEFT A LONG PATCH OF SHINGLE, RAISED SLIGHTLY AND RUNNING NORTH TO SOUTH.

IT WAS NICE TO GET A PICTURE PIECE OF POTTRY WITH THE TWO LOVERS ON.
LEGEND HAS IT THE LOVERS BECAME BIRDS AFTER THEIR DEATH.
