SEATON CAREW & BLUE LAGOON 19 FEB 2011

ARRIVED AT SEATON CAREW BEACH AROUND 7 AM
IT WAS AROUND 3 DEGREES IN TEMPERATURE.
IT WAS COLD AND WET.

LOTS OF TIMBER HAD BEEN WASHED UP AT THE BLUE LAGOON.
MAINLY TWIGS AND BRANCHES, SO POSSIBLY ALL WASHED DOWN RIVER RECENTLY AND PUSHED TO THE LAGOON BY THE INCOMING TIDE?

I CARRIED BONNIE DOWN BY THE NORTH SIDE OF THE NORTH GARE.
SOME OF THE WW2 BEACH DEFENCES,SEEMED TO HAVE BEEN PLACED ON SOME SUBSTANTIAL TIMBERS, MAYBE AT THE TIME THEY WERE PLACED THERE, THE SAND WAS SOFT AND THEY WERE SINKING INTO THE BEACH?
I WILL CONTACT TEES ARCHAEOLOGY

SOME OF THE TIMBERS HAD WHAT LOOKED LIKE STAINLESS STEEL WIRE RUNNING THROUGH THEM, AS IF THEY HAD BEEN TIED TOGETHER?

BEACH BUOY...
