ARRIVED AT THE OLD FAIRGROUND CAR PARK AT 6 59 AM.
ABOUT FOUR AND A HALF HOURS TO HIGH TIDE
ONE CAR.
THREE PEOPLE & ONE DOG VISIBLE ON THE BEACH.THE WIND WAS A FRESH N/W.
THE LIGHT DRY SAND WAS BEING BLOWN ACROSS THE DAMP SAND TO THE SEA.
I FOLLOWED ALONGSIDE A EARLIER WALKER'S FOOTPRINTS AND NOTICED BY THE PAWS PRINTS HIS DOG HAD BEEN COMING AND GOING IN LARGE HALF CIRULAR PATTERNS.
THE SAND WAS SO FLAT; NO RIPPLES.
ARRIVED ON BLUE LAGOON BEACH AT 7 29 AM. THIS BEACH IS USAULLY A LOT CALMER THAN THE FIRST BEACH,BUT THE WIND DIRECTION TODAY ENSURED A BRACING WALK.
AT AROUND HALF WAY TO THE RIVER TEES , THE WIND CARRIED A STRONG SMELL FROM THE LOCAL INDUSTRIES. AT THIS POINT I TURNED AND HEADED BACK.
ON MY RETURN TO SEATON BEACH I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE ONLY ONE WALKER ,WITH TWO DOGS.A DETERMINED WALK BACK TOWARDS THE CAR PARK INTO AN INCREASING HEADWIND, REVEALED A TOTAL OF FIVE CARS.
