OCTOBER 22, 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL

Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.
It was as dark.
It was 6-12 a.m.

With the aid of two torches, he collected five suitable stones.

Plenty of Stars on show.

The Wind Turbine Yard beyond the dunes.

Beach Buoy continued south.
The tide sounded like it was well out.
It was.

A Distant Dog barked.
He could hear the putt putt of a small boat beyond the Pier.

He headed to the water's edge.
Two hoods were up.

Stars still on show.

Industrial light to the south.

The North.
Beach Buoy rubbed chilly hand together.

There was some light on show.

A man and his dog headed north.

Beach Buoy walked the low level route.
He added two sturdy stones to the sea defence.

"Morning Mate."
It was just after 7 a.m.

With aid of torches, he patted
THE
stone.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
He scattered some seeds.

He had a short stand and a think.
The same torches lit his beach book as he made notes for the blog.

"See you mate."

Back along the low level route.

Back on the beach, he could ses The Sea Serpent surface in the half light.

Lots of areas of beach-trapped water.

He headed north.
There were many fairly deep gulleys running along ahead of him.

The first Crow of the morning flew towards him with open wings, like an old friend would do, with open arms
Maybe they were now?
It landed nearby.
"Do you want some breakfast?"
Beach Buoy knew the answer.

He scattered some seeds for the bird.

The random pipe was well exposed.
Lots of sand had gone.
It is well over a metre high.
At times it has been fully buried by the beach sand.
As he passed by, he wondered how long it would be before it was weak enough for someone to pull on and lay it down?
Maybe not in his lifetime?

What looked like an old sewer pipe had been exposed.
The corogated Stella in the distance is seen at times.
Beach Buoy can't remember ever seeing the sewer pipe.
More evidence of the drop in sand level at this part of the beach.

Another view.

And again.

Photographer at the Wreck.
Beach Buoy had intended going to it too.

He decided to leave it to the photographer.
After all, he had a tripod!

He headed to the Esplanade.
The early pinky promise of the sky didn't bring the Sun.
Maybe it shone sun on Another Paul on another beach?

Two Hopeful Crows had followed him.
Their optimism was rewarded.
He placed a handful of seed on The Esplanade Wall for them.

JUST A BIKE RIDE. OCTOBER 21, 2026.

Once again, just a bike ride.

Seaton Carew to Hartlepool Marina and back.

North along the Esplanade.

3 x 9 is 27.

The Bay's Wind Turbines.

Back to Seaton Carew.

BEACH BUOY.

OCTOBER 21, 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy went to the beach alone.
It was 7 a.m.

A two torch start to the day.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

There was one torch lit to the north, another to the south.

The tide was well out.

Oyster Catchers whistled in the almost half light.

He walked the low level route.

He added six sturdy stones to the sea defence.

Just because.

Up the small slope.

"Morning Mate."

It was 7-22.

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

He scattered some seeds for the Crows.

He topped up the wildlife water bowl.

He had a stand and a think.

"See you mate."

He returned to the beach.

Three Crows flew to Stubborn Dog Stack.

He walked the water's edge.

He caught up with Team One Black Ear.

They chatted.

A lady headed south.

"Morning."

"Morning."

"Morning."

Beach Buoy noticed that the lady gave a little dance as she continued south.

Perhaps accompanied by music if not by people?

He gave a wave to the lady with a red coat and a brown dog called Jasper.

Mr.Gunn/Lunn came along with Excellent Dog Alfie.

They chatted.

Beach Buoy gave Excellent Dog Alfie a neck scratch.

He found

THE

spot.

The little dog tilted its head, leaning into the scratching.

Beach Buoy made his way to the Seaton Carew Wreck.

Dottie Dog ran by the sea.

Distant waves wére shared with her owner.

Back to the north, towards the wreck's location.

The wreck today.

Dylan Dog headed south, as did a Jogger.

Others headed south too.

It seemed to be a busy spot this morning.

OCTOBER 20, 2026. SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL. AN AFTERNOON WALK TO THE BEACH.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.

Well, to be more accurate Another Dog was carried much of the way

The passengers on the Middlesbrough Bus thought it was funny as did the sitters in the car park.

Beach Buoy placed Another Dog on the beach access ramp wall.

It was 4 p.m.

They had words...

It felt like Another Dog had to be presented to the beach.

Perhaps Beach Buoy should supply a Ribbon and some Scissors for Another Dog to "Open" the ramp each visit?

They headed to the tidal sand.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

They headed south.

An afternoon regular heads back north.

They walked the low level route.

Beach Buoy added six sturdy stones to the sea defence, just because.

"Afternoon Mate."

It was 4-36.

He patted

THE

stone.

He added the five suitable stones.

He scattered some seeds.

He topped up the wildlife water bowl.

Skye's harness had been brought to the stack after the Border Collie had passed away.

Another Dog noticed the recent addition and went onto the stack to have a sniff.

Beach Buoy had a sit and think.

He watched the sea.

"See you mate."

Back to the beach.

It was theirs.

The Wreck today.

A little more exposed than of late.

Back to the Esplanade.
