OCTOBER 16, 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.
Beach Buoy headed to the beach.
It was 7-26 a.m.
The lady with the red coat and a brown dog called Jasper was just finishing her walk.
"Morning."
"Morning, that's me done. He didn't want to come back. We did a shorter walk."
Beach Buoy headed down the beach access ramp.
A beach fisherman stood knee deep in sea.
The Crows were glad to see Beach Buoy.
He scattered some seeds.
He collected five suitable stones.
The fisherman fished.
Beach Buoy headed south.
The view back to the north.
The Sun showed up to watch a ship head out to sea.
A Wabbit ran across a duo in the dune edge.
A second ship followed.
There was a light and chilly breeze from the west.
He walked the low level route.
The Sun cleared cloud.
Beach Buoy added two sturdy stones to the sea defence.
Up the small slope.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-59.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He's scattered some seeds.
He hadn't brought any water this morning.
Distant Village Church Bells rang for 8 a.m.
Beach Buoy had a stand and a think.
Back to the beach below.
Three Crows flew to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy left the fisherman behind.
Head back to the North.
Gone fishing...
Mr.Gunn/Lunn, Excellent Dog Alfie and Friday Basil were heading south.
They chatted as Beach Buoy fussed both of the dogs at once.
A lady passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"Morning."
Beach Buoy carried on northwards.
A lady passed by with a Chestnut Coloured Greyhound.
The Dog trotted elegantly.
It looked a little like a small thoroughbred horse.
Beach Buoy made his way to the Car Park
Crows followed him to the beach access ramp.

OCTOBER 15, SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.
Beach Buoy arrived at Sandy Car Park
at 6-27 a.m.
It was as dark as night.
There was a warm wind blowing from the south west.
He set off with two torches and a driftwood name plate.
His Dad died at 56.
He would have been 100 today.
It was darker down on the beach, away from the the lights of the Esplanade.
He located five suitable stones.
He headed south towards Stubborn Dog Stack, the destination for the driftwood nameplate.
The first signs of daylight began to show as he walked the water's edge.
It was 6-45.
It looked as thought the tide had just turned from high.
He made his way along the low level route.
The sky to the south began to show an orange glow.
It was still over half an hour to Sunrise.
He managed to collect two sturdy stones.
He added them to the sea defence.
He climbed the small slope.
"Morning Mate."
It was 6-54.
He patted
THE
stone.
He rested the driftwood up at the stack .
He added the five suitable stones.
He scattered seeds.
The wildlife water bowl was fine.
He took out his screwdriver and screws.
He fitted the driftwood facing the sea
It should last a while.
It has had plenty of coats of varnish.
He will do the same for his mother in three years time, if he is still alive.

Beach Buoy made his way back to the beach.
Light to the south.
He headed north.
No torches required.
Electric lights not sunlight lit the seafront houses.
A man went south with his large white sea-loving dog.
"Don't eat the seaweed!"
A hooded lady went south too.
Eyes on her phone as her brown doodle dog frolicked.
Beach Buoy headed to the car park.
He had to go.
He left the brightening sky behind.

OCTOBER 14, HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND.

OCTOBER 14, 2026. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.
Mr. Gunn/Lunn, Excellent Dog Alfie, Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked along the beach as the Sun came.
They had arrived together at 7-24 a.m.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
The view back north.
A man headed north.
A barefoot lady did too.
Excellent Dog Alfie led the way.
He really is Excellent.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog went to the low level route.
Mr.Gunn/Lunn and Excellent Dog Alfie went up the big slope to the easy route.
Crows monitored Beach Buoy and Breakfast's progress.
After selecting and adding two sturdy stones to the sea defence, they climbed the small slope.
"Morning Mate."
It was 7-52.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He scattered some seeds.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
Lots of unseen birds were singing from the nearby bushes.
They sounded small.
Beach Buoy had a sit and think.
Ruby, Another Dog did too.
"See you mate."
They returned to the low level route.
Three Crows flew to the stack.
Dottie Dog and her owner ran northwards along the water's edge.
Back to the north, following the barefoot beach walkers footprints.
Barefoot in October.
The man who once had four dogs passed by with three.
" Morning."
"Morning Paul. Alright?"
"Yeah. You?"
" Not bad."
"Good Lad, keep going."
Up ahead, Not Not Beach Buoy his small dog and an additional dog cut across from the beach to the Esplanade.
They never seem to go beyond the start of the dunes.
