05 APRIL 2017. SEATON SANDS AND BLUE LAGOON.

An Evening walk, sometimes if you time it right, you almost get the Beach to yourself.

Dramatic clouds looking South towards The Gares and the Tees Bay Wind Turbines.

The tide was way out ... just how I like it.

My favourite FIND hotspot didn't let me down tonight .
A lovely Sea Alley tumbled by the Sea for who knows how many years?

Oh dear The North Gare Breakwater built in 1882 -92 is in a poor state of repair in some areas. These newly placed concrete blocks may help ? They do look a little out of place to say the least!

The Dog and I crossed over to North Gare Beach for a wander....

And to throw a few stones into pools.

By the time we crossed back to Seaton Sands , the combination of the wet sand and low Sun was a photographer's dream.

He's glad of the lighter nights as much as I am!

The North Sea was rushing in in certain parts of the Beach eagerly reclaiming its place.

A SUNNY EVENING WITH A FRESH BREEZE.

POT BOTTLE TOP WITH RUBBER WASHER ALMOST INTACT.

EVERY COLOUR TELLS A DIFFERENT STORY.

THE MOUTH OF THE TEES WAS SHELTERED FROM THE FRESH BREEZE....

SO WE HAD A SUNBATHE.

STONE HEART.

AN OLD CRAB / LOBSTER POT, MADE FROM METAL AND VERY HEAVY. I DRAGGED IT UP OUT HARMS WAY. TOO HEAVY TO DRAG AN HOUR OR SO BACK TO THE CAR.

The day started with Tea in a tin cup and a toasted teacake.

Then it was off to walk from Seaton Carew to The River Tees.

The Mouth of The River Tees.

Around lunch time on a Saturday and the Beach was almost deserted.

HARTLEPOOL'S HEADLAND. 31 MARCH 2017.

The Lighthouse on Hartlepool's Headland.

Germany attacked Hartlepool in 1914 when German battleships appeared on the horizon and bombed the town..The first British Soldier to die on British soil in WW1 was in Hartlepool, along with many others.
"THE HARTLEPOOLS."
were West Hartlepool and Hartlepool; now all one town.
The football club was Hartlepools United, the towns amalgamated
in the 1960's. The club became Hartlepool FC, but later became HARTLEPOOL UNITED.

Looks like it was a wet day.

Very little Beach today.
It was High tide.

A stunning Church.
One of my proudest and saddest moments was here, the day the family asked me to "Take a corner."... help carry the coffin of my brave Cousin.
