Seaton Carew & Blue Lagoon 30 01 11

ARRIVED AROUND 7 05 AM
BELOW THE TRACK IN THE SAND DUNES TO THE BLUE LAGOON.
NOT AS MUCH WATER AS USUAL ,TRAPPED IN THE BLUE LAGOON.

AN AREA OF THE BLUE LAGOON BEACH SEEMED TO HAVE LOST A LOT OF SAND.
THE WEATHER HADN'T BEEN ROUGH,
THIS PEBBLE STREWN AREA AND THIS OLD TIMBER WERE EXPOSED.

THE WHITE LINE IS SHELL THAT HAS BEEN LEFT ALONG A TIDE LINE.

TIMBER AND CRAB POT

SHOULD MAKE A GOOD BIT OF DRIFTWOOD SEA GLASS.

ANOTHER COLOUR FISHING LINE TO THE COLLECTION.

A RED BAG

THE STUMP BELOW IS SOMETIMES VISABLE
IT WAS THE MORE EXPOSED THAN I HAVE EVER SEEN IT
IT SEEMED TO BE JOINED TO SCRAP STEEL
A JOIST WAS LAID NEARBY
I WILL SEND MY BLOG DETAILS TO TEES ARCHAEOLOGY
MAYBE THEY CAN IDENTIFY THE REMAINS?
THE AREA HAD STEEL, PLANKS OF WOOD AND WHAT LOOKED LIKE RUBBER BLOCKS
SCATTERED AROUND

TO THE LEFT ... THE DAYS FINDS.

SEATON CAREW & BLUE LAGOON 29 JAN 2011

ARRIVED AROUND 7 AM

IT WAS A LOVELY STILL MORNING
BELOW...THE BLUE LAGOON.

AFTER LEAVING THE BLUE LAGOON
AND CLAMBERING OVER THE NORTH GARE
THE VILLAGE OF SEATON CAREW WAS BATHED IN BRIGHT MORNING
SUNSHINE.

THE DAY'S FINDS.....

I FASTENED SOME OF THE YELLOW FISHING LINE I FOUND TODAY
AS A TIE ON THE "G" PIECE OF DRIFTWOOD
SO NOW IT CAN BE HUNG
I THINK THE YELLOW GOES WELL WITH THE DARK COLOUR OF THE WOOD
AND THERE IS THE ADDED BENEFIT OF ME REMOVING
FISHING LINE FROM THE BEACH :-)

SEATON CAREW & BLUE LAGOON 16 JAN 2011

ARRIVED AROUND 7 AM

IT WAS STILL DARK AND VERY WINDY.

I DECIDED TO TAKE MY SMALL POCKET CAMERA AS

I THOUGHT THE WIND BLOWN SAND MAY HAVE DAMAGED MY LARGER CAMERA?

BY THE TIME I REACHED THE BLUE LAGOON THE LIGHT WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO START TAKING PICTURES.

THEY WERE LOTS OF CLOUDS,

COLOURED BY A BLUSH OF PINK.

ON THE WAY BACK ALONG SEATON CAREW BEACH

A GLANCE OVER YOUR SHOULDER

SHOWED JUST HOW MUCH THE SKY HAD CHANGED
