SEA GLASS

I FOUND THE PIECES BELOW AT MIDDLETON
I DID NOT TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE BEACH AS
THE BATTERIES WERE DEAD WHEN I TRIED.
I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY LUCK FINDING THE PIECE BELOW
IT WAS LAID ON THE RAMP THAT THE SEA COAL WAGONS
USE TO ACCESS THE BEACH.
BELOW ANOTHER OF THE SEA GLASS / DRIFTWOOD
ITEMS I HAVE MADE.
I SHOWED MY DAUGHTER
SHE SAID THAT IF I MAKE A NICE ONE SHE WILL PUT IT ON HER KEYRING.

AND NOW .... WELL ERRR I THINK I HAVE A SEA GLASS / DRIFTWOOD PROBLEM?
IN A BOX

Seaton Carew 28 Nov 2010

Set off from home around 6-45am
Bonnie and I walked to beach as the car needed a little a bit of de-icingThe beach locked water was frozen over.

The sea seemed to have steam rising from it.
Perhaps the sea was warmer than the air?
The waves were rolling in as if on a speeded up film,
it seemed odd as the sea appeared to be so calm but the steam curtain was
disguising how rough the sea really was.

Below...
it doesn't show up very well
but the steam can be seen rising.

I found this piece of pot,I liked the colours but returned it to the Sea.

I only had the small camera so the photo below is a little blurred.
I didn't go onto the Blue Lagoon as many sea birds were sheltering there
and i didn't want to disturb them.

The snow allowed me to see the animal tracks
around the sand dunes.
I believe the ones below are a hare's,
as I have seen Hares in the Dunes from time to time
the track reminds me of one of those scary face masks.

IN MIDDLETON'S CASE THIS RESULTED IN LOTS OF STONES AND BRICKS.
