SATURDAY 24,OCTOBER,SEATON CAREW BEACH & BLUE LAGOON.

Arrived at the old fairground Car Park at 4-46 pm. The Sun had made it's first show of the day around an hour earlier. It was around three and a half hours to high tide.I was surprised to see only 5 cars in the car park and only about 6 or so people on the beach.

A ship was leaving the Tees as I headed for the sea.

The Sun was setting behind the Car Park.
Some sea birds........

The view towards the North Gare.

Is there such a creature as a stone fish?

The Sun was still setting.

The Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon Beach.

The Sea rolls into the Tees.

It was odd because to the South there were dark clouds.

In comparison the Northern Sky was a clear light blue.

BEST PART OF THE DAY

Middleton Beach,Hartlepool.

1960 -1982 ...ish

My Father and I would spend many hours together on Middleton Beach.

We would usually go at first light

As we drove back home,he often said "There you are we've had the best part of the day." as on many occasions the early morning sunny sky would cloud over.

Best Part of the Day.

Early morning - up and out,

Middleton bound - I'd no doubt,

In the van and on our way,

What a way to start the day,

Finding coins and cooper nails,

Picture all the ships with sails,

Sometimes dig bait -

for going fishing,

Everyday I would be wishing,

We never really had to talk,

Just relax - enjoy the walk,

Then in the van - and on our way

"We had the best part of the day"

After a night of heavy rain the world seemed fresh and damp.
Arrived at Old Fairground Car Park 7-05 am.

On the beach two people and two dogs were visible.
High tide in less than one hour.
Sunrise was 7-25 am.

Towards the North Gare pier the mist began to show up.
There were four beach fisherman .
Above ... THE BLUE LAGOON.

The Sun tried it's best to burn of the mist.

The above animal was dead on the beach. It looked like a bird with a fish's body

Above ... Tracks on the Blue Lagoon.

Above... The Sun still trying it's best.

A return to Seaton Carew Beach Showed the sea was much rougher.
