SEATON SNOOKS TEA ROOM OUT AND ABOUT CARD.

A LAUGH AND CHAT WITH THE 7 a.m. CLUB.

5, APRIL. 2025.

SEATON SANDS,

HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 27, APRIL 2025

Sunday.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at 6-40 a.m.
It was sunny and warm.
A lazy hazy mist stretched across the bay.
The Headland was as faint as a distant memory.

The 7 a.m. club head back north along the water's edge.

Very distant waves were shared.

The tide was way out.

There was a pleasant breeze from the south west.

They ran to the sea.
It had been and gone.

They headed south.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

More Taprogge Balls washed ashore.

Beach Buoy beachcleaned a total of seventeen.

A man filmed the sea and took self-conscious selfies as he headed south.

Team One Black Ear were heading back north.
They stopped to chat.
They went their separate ways.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the low level route.

Up the small sandy slope.

"Morning Mate."
It was 7-14.

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust.

Beach Buoy had a sit and think.
He was delighted to see the first Sand Martin of the year at the stack.
The little bird swooped around before disappearing as quicky as it had arrived.
Back to Sand Martin Corner.

The dune grass bent in the breeze.
The sea sparkled like a girl's best friend.

"See you mate."

They continued southwards, to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Sand Martins at Sand Martin Corner.

Beach Buoy placed his beach notebook on one of the Tank Traps.
It was the perfect height and angle to rest upon.
The man who once had four dogs clambered over the grey rocks to reach the dunes.
He only had two dogs today.
Before they disappeared into the dunes, the man turned, giving Beach Buoy a distant wave on the beach below.
Beach Buoy stretched his arms out.
The three and nine o'clock positions.
He raised them to noon in response.

They headed back.

Gulls whizzed by overhead.
Their sunshine shadows travelled the sands.
Their inner-crow.

Team Muzzled Dog stopped for a lovely chat.
Dasher, the Muzzled Dog that dashes, almost skidded on the sand as she quickly carried to change direction.
They went their separate ways.

A Jogger headed north wearing a plum-coloured top.
Possibly trying to lose a stone?

A young lady with a backpack, headed north along the water's edge.
Her small black dog trotted alongside.
( On the sandy side.
Not the sea.)

Mr.Gunn/Lunn and Excellent Dog Alfie had arrived on the beach.
The two men chatted under the chatter of the Little Terns.

As Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach, a ship entered the River.

Saturday, 26 April 2025

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 26, APRIL 2025 .

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.

The first Cricket match of the season was underway.

It was an afternoon visit.

The second of the day.

They reached the southernmost access ramp

 at 1-20 p.m.

The car park was busy, whereas the beach itself was surprisingly quiet.

They walked towards the sea, then south.

It was sunny with a breeze from the south west.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

The tide was a canny way in.

The sea looked lovely.

The waves were constant.

The sea wasn't rough by any stretch of the imagination.
Their regularity seemed to be because it was almost high tide.
Just Beach Buoy's theory.
He's no expert.

He stood awhile just watching the sea

They headed to the low level route.

Back up the short slope to Stubborn Dog Stack

"Afternoon Mate."
It was 1-59.
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

A large amount of small black flies were up on the dune edge.

"See you mate."

They went and had a sit and think on the grey rocks on the beach below.

A fisherman was to the south on the rocks.

They headed back.
It was busier now.
A constant blind if people and dogs all wanting the water's edge.
It served to remind Beach Buoy of the joys of an early morning visit with a low tide.

 Saturday.
Beach Buoy had been up since 3-20.

Just Beach Buoy and Another Dog today.
Borrowed Dog had gone home.

It was 5-30 a.m.
A man passed by on The Esplanade.
He had a Grey Bull Terrier.
They chatted briefly.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.

Gull had gathered at the water's edge.

It was a pleasant morning.

The Sun was an eye in the Sky.
They continued south.
Beach Buoy wondered would he do if this was to be his last beach.
One day it will be.
Perhaps he would breathe a little deeper?
Look up.
Look out.
Never look down.
Maybe wave goodbye to The Sea Serpent and the birds.
Perhaps he would sit and think a little longer.

"Good Morning."

The Sea Serpent.

All but two of the twenty seven Wind Turbines stood idle.

They headed to the low level route.
The 7 a.m. club were way to the north.

Up the small slope.

"Morning Mate."
It was 6-17.
He added five added stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

They didn't sit and think.
Hopefully this wasn't the last beach.
They continued south along the undulating dunes edge.
Beach Buoy has been listening to Melancholy Hill a lot lately.
He paused at the top of a dune and had a think.
A melancholy dune...

Sand Martins down at Sand Martin Corner.
They crossed over to North Gare Pier.

The Pier.
From the Pier, Beach Buoy could see that Team One Black Ear were at their driftwood bench.

Barrier.

Sorry.
We are closed.

North Gare Beach.

Sand Martin and the Sea Serpent Marker.

They headed back to the dunes.
Back to the beach below.
They headed north.

Stubborn Dog Stack from the beach below.
Beach Buoy gave a distant wave.

The man who once had four dogs but today had three, passed by.
"Morning."
"Morning."
"You O.K?"
"Yes thanks."

Team Muzzled Dog passed by.
Jogging section first.
"Morning."
"Hiya."

The walking section were next.
They chatted briefly before going their own way.

Archive..

One from the Archive.

Just, you know, be kind.

Your one bad remark or comment might be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Don't forget the one that begins with
B
has two humps, like the letter.
The one that begins with
D
has one hump...
Like the letter.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 25, APRIL 2025.

 Friday.

Beach Buoy woke.

It was still dark.

He guessed at the correct time.

4-12?

He reached for his mobile phone.

4-12 it was.

In the darkness he raised an arm of unseen  victory.

Usually Beach Buoy would getting up.

 Thinking, make coffee.

Catch up with drawings.

Be on the beach well before sunrise.

It was 6-08 when he woke.

Sunrise had been and gone.

It was O.K

He has forever now.

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog set off for the beach.

The man who walks the perimeter of the car park over and over was heading home.

Headphones on.

They reached The Esplanade at 6-31.

The lady who once fell off her bike was walking south with her companion.
Presumably it was a friend of her's that snuck up behind her and
"Boo!"
She screamed,
They laughed.

Beach Buoy and the dogs headed towards the sea.

The tide was well out.

The breeze from the south west was welcomed.

Driftwood creature.

Beach Buoy collected seven suitable stones.
They were quite small so he upped the quantity.
Tonnage.

The Village was bathed in warm light.

They headed south.

The 7 a.m. club were already heading back to the north.

They stopped to chat to one another.

Topics were the Dead Porpoise, life's rich tapestry and the need for garden rain.

"Down to the roots!"

said Beach Buoy.

"And beyond!" the reply.

They went their separate ways.

Beach Buoy and the dogs continued south.

A man and his Border Collie sat low in the dunes like snippers.

The Skylarks gave away their position.

Gulls rafted in the shallows.

Team One Black Ear came along from the south.

They stopped to chat to one another.

Milo still hadn't gone home.

They went their seperate ways.

As Beach Buoy reached the grey rocks, a distant fog buzzer buzzed.

The bay was becoming overcast.

The breeze was carrying darker clouds into view.

There seemed to be a mist on the horizon?

They walked the low level route.

"Morning Mate."
It was 7-09.
He added seven stones.
He patted
THE
stone.

He sat on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust.

On the beach below, two big light-brown Doodle Dogs ran as if drawn in a cartoon flicker book.

Beach Buoy had a sit and think.

It was colder now.

Beach Buoy would guess by maybe five degrees or so?

He watched as the flicker book Doodle Dogs headed back to the north.

Scribbling their route in the sand.

Barking their barks in the air.

"See you mate."

Beach Buoy and the dogs continued south with dune grass and a wonderful sky for company.

Gap in the dunes to the west.

As Beach Buoy climbed to top of a dune pathway, there were four Skylarks having a sit and think on a driftwood log.

They all took flight.

An undulating flight.

Beach Buoy approached Sand Martin Corner.
Not a Sand Martin in sight.
He clambered down to the Tank Traps.

He was a little disappointed.

He accepted that it was colder.
Not as many flies around.
The birds must just be saving energy as they waited for it to warm up.?

Then...

A dozen or more Sand Martins came flying over the dunes tops.

They swirled and swirled just above Beach Buoy.

The usually quiet birds were full of song.

They reminded Beach Buoy of yet another cartoon scene.

Picture it.

Beach Buoy hit on head with a Giant ACME hammer.

(Some would offer to do it!)

A swirl of singing birds around his head.

It was really magical.

There were Goosebumps but thankfully the ACME tool store was closed.

It was fantastic.

A memory locked in forever.

A "Remember This " moment.

Beach Buoy clicked and clicked.

Somewhat reluctantly he headed back to the north.

An abacus of Gulls helped him count his blessings.

Beach Buoy and the dogs walked the water's edge.

A boat crossed from Hartlepool to the River Tees.

The man who once had four dogs but now has three walked by.

It was only two yesterday.

The third one was back today.

The men chatted briefly before going their separate ways.

Nearby a man stood watching his dog dig a dog-dug hole.

A man with a Doodle Dog and an electric blue coat passed by.
Beach Buoy knew that it was electric blue as it was the same colour of a friend's, Dad's car.
A J reg mark three Ford Cortina.

They headed back to the van, passing the Little Tern nest site as they did so.

24, APRIL 2025. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 Thursday.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach
at 5-41 a.m.
Two joggers had ran from the north, along The Esplanade.
They touched the columns at the top of the southernmost access before walking back towards the Village.

As they stepped onto the beach the sun cleared low cloud that lay along the horizon.

Even in monochrome the brightness of the early morning sun was clear.

Sunrise seekers photographed a delayed arrival.

A Little Tern.
Honest.
We don't lie.
Their chattering filled the air.

The air was almost still.
The tide was well out.
From a distance it looked like the sands had completely claimed the Seaton Carew Wreck, for a while at least.

They headed south.
The beach was theirs.
Beach Buoy paused to collect...
Can you guess?
Yes.
Five suitable stones for Stubborn Dog Stack.
To the north, the sunrise seekers were leaving.
Today's flash in the pan was over.

A Crow landed nearby over and over again.
It was wanting a dog treat.
It's sunshine shadow, a complete copy of itself in shape and in colour.

The sculptured sands, looking back to the north.

A wind-blown balloon.
Burst, bagged and beachcleaned.

The Sea Serpent Marker.

Another wind-blown balloon.
Burst, bagged and beachcleaned.

The Sea Serpent Marker.
Again.
The repetition brings comfort.
A piece of metal.
Reliable.
A soulmate.
The truth.

Beach Buoy and the dogs walked the low level route.
The 7 a.m. club were to the north.

"Morning Mate."
Again.
The repetition brings comfort.
A Dog.
Reliable.
A soulmate.
The truth.
Beach Buoy added the five stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 6-25 a.m.

Skylarks sang.

A lady and her water-loving dog walked by and in the sea.

Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood plank with plenty of rust and trust.
Reliable, until some thicker plank decides to throw it out onto the beach below.
"See you mate."
They continued bto head southwards.

The view to the north from the dune edge.

Skylark in flight and song.
It was singing sweetly.
Honestly.

The view to the west, across the dunes.
A Rig.
( With plenty of rust.)
Nearby, Wind Turbines Blades.

They approached Sand Martin Corner.
Up above; a Sand Martin.
The mooched around the Tank Traps.

They turned back to the north.

Team One Black Ear were to the north, heading south.
They met up.
They headed back together as they chatted.

A saf sight was the remains of a Harbour Porpoise.

The man who once had four dogs but now had three passed by.
Only two dogs today!

Beach Buoy decided to ask.
"Where's your mate?"
"Oh l left him at home, he is struggling arthritis at the moment.  You have an extra one today."
Beach Buoy introduced Borrowed Dog
aka Walter.

They went their separate ways.

As they headed back towards the car park, Team Muzzled Dog passed with distant waves.

A doodle dog came to say hello.
Beach Buoy made a fuss of the delightful dog.
It galloped back to it's lady owner who was walking the water's edge.
