500000

Broke the half a million barrier today.

Thank you,

Beach Buoy.

31,JULY 2025. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

 An evening visit.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-48.
It was overcast and mild.
The car park was busy.
The tide was about as far in as it was out.

During the day the nest site fencing had been taken down.

A fencepost like a giant pencil had been left behind.
Beach Buoy put it over his shoulder.
It was going to Stubborn Dog Stack.
To an unknowing onlooker, it may have looked like Beach Buoy and Another Dog were off on search for an equally large note pad.
Another Dog was being  extra stubborn this evening.
Time and time again she stopped, refusing to budge.
Eventually, with stops for Another Dog's stubboness and to collect five suitable stones they reached Stubborn Dog Stack.
It was 7-26.
"Evening Mate."
He patted
THE
stone.
He added five more suitable ones.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
He placed the giant pencil into the sand.
He hammered it down as best as he could using a large rock as a hammer.
He would bring a hammer in the morning to finish the job off.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach below.
It was an easier walk back.
No giant pencil.
Another Dog had left her stubborness at the aptly named stack.

A couple were up ahead with a dog.
It began to run towards them.
It was ten years old Borrowed Dog running like an excited puppy.
The couple were Beach Buoy's daughter and son in law.
They chatted their way back to Sandy Car Park.

Arrival.
The Little Tern fencing had been up since April.
It looked strange without it.

One of the many pitstops.

And another.

Despite the many unscheduled stops, it was a grand evening.

Changing to slick tyres...

New post added.

Stubborn Dog Stack.

Back to the north.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 31, JULY 2025.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

It was 6-20 a.m.

A motorcyclist sat on the sand out of your shoes bench.

His helmet and motorcycle were nearby.

"Morning."

.....

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

It was overcast.

The tide was well in.

Beach Buoy collected five stones that were suitable.

There was a breeze from the west.

It wasn't warm.

It wasn't cold.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were way to the north.

The 7 a.m. club and Team One Black Ear stood chatting.

A Lone Gull stood in the shallows like a day tripper.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple passed by.

The 7 a.m. club came along.

It was a bush hat and two dog day.

They chatted before going their own way.

The lady with a red coat and a brown dog headed south.

Beach Buoy and Another continued south.

Team One Black Ear approached.

The two dogs ran to Beach Buoy.

Milo, the Borrowed Black Labrador dropped his ball at Beach Buoy's feet.

Beach Buoy made a fuss of Hugo, the dog with one black ear.

Beach Buoy threw the ball.

They chatted.

They went their separate ways.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked the low level route.

It seemed like Sand Martins were coming to welcome them.

7-13.

"Morning Mate."

He added the five suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

He topped up the wildlife water bowl.

He sat on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.

From the vantage point he watch an unusually rough sea on such an otherwise calm day.

He watched as a Gull air-surfed it's way north, just above braking waves.

Not to be outdone, Sand Martins flew by the sea too.

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach below.

Mr. Gunn/Lunn approached from the north.

It was Thursday, so Basil was part of the team today too.

They chatted.

Excellent Dog Alfie was made a fuss of.

Basil was a little too friendly, a bit full on for Ruby.

They went their separate ways.

From The Esplanade.

The Village.

Beach Regulars were to the south.

Sand Martins greeted them on the low level route.

The dune edge from the low level route.

Stubborn Dog Stack.

Sit and think ever taken for granted.

Sea pottery.

Once again, the sea seemed angry on an otherwise calm day.

The waves filled in.
Sometimes they ran on and on.

The view as they headed back.

Beach Buoy sat in the van a while listening to Amy Oakden and mates on Radio Tees.
Three sea swimmers headed to the access ramp dressed in dressing gowns, two red and one pink.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 30 JULY 2025.

 It was an evening visit.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at 6-10.
It was a busy and sunny car park.
The sea looked angrier than the day.
A light mist or fret hung in the air.
Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.
A lady sat on a picnic chair.
She talked on her phone as she watched two children playing in the sea.
The tide was coming in.
Before too long Queen Canute would have to move her throne.
6-47.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He topped up the wildlife water bowl.
He sat on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.
After a sit and think they returned to the van.
Beach Buoy spotted some sea pottery.

The view North.

Sea fret hung in the air.

Sea pottery in the shingle.

Waves breaking on South Gare.

Two head south.

Stubborn Dog Stack.

Sit and think.
Never taken for granted.

Heading back.

Another beach walker plodges his way back.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 30, JULY 2025.

Beach Buoy was putting a reluctant Another Dog into the van.

It was 5-57 a.m.

The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple went by, walking and talking their way to the beach.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach too.

They headed down the beach access ramp.

Two were leaning on the wall at the southernmost end of The Esplanade.

"Morning."

"Morning."

By the time Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the sea, the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were heading south along the water's edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south too.

The sun was out.

There was a light breeze from the west.

The tide was well in.

Gulls lined the water's edge.

They took flight as the beach walkers arrived.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones as they progressed southwards.

In what seemed like no time, the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple were heading back.

Beach Buoy moved up to the softer sand to let them have the water's edge route.

Beach Buoy returned to the sea.

Sand and shingle strips lay ahead.

Beach Buoy had brought coffee.

He took a drink at the grey rocks.

He waited for the 7 a.m. club and Team One Black Ear to arrive.

They were walking together.

"Morning Team."

The 7 a.m. club laughed

"Team. Morning Paul."

As the three men stood talking, the lady who walks the full length of the beach passed by.

" Morning." multiplied by four.

The lady with a red coat and a brown dog arrived.

"Morning." multiplied by four.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

6-40.

"Morning Mate.”

Beach Buoy added the five suitable stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

A Sand Martin flew by just missing Beach Buoy's head.

He sat on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.

He wondered where a Ship was heading as it left the river behind.

The man who once had four dogs came up the small slope.

They chatted.

"It'll be two tomorrow (dogs)."

The man pointed to the black and white one.

"He's going down south. on holiday."

The man and his dogs continued heading south.

It was a

WONDERFUL

day.

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach below.

It was almost high tide.

The sea tried to grab Beach Buoy's ankles every now and then.

A young lady with a rucksack sat on

a driftwood seat, looking out to sea.

Mr. Gunn/Lunn and excellent dog Alfie came along.

Arrival.

Head South.

Pi in the sky.
