SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 13, AUG. 2025.

Wednesday.
13th.
The van was in a garage getting new brakes fitted all around.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog set off on foot and paw at 5-47 a.m.
The walk to the beach should take about ten minutes...
With stops for sniffs and stubbornness, it took almost twenty.
It felt at times like they doing the moonwalk trying to reach the rising Sun.

It was odd.
Beach Buoy's usual "stuff" was in the van, at the garage.
So no beach bag.
A make-do beach book would have to do.
A short lead for Another Dog, again make-do.

From the Esplanade, Beach Buoy could see the Golden Sun.

A man and his dog headed south along the water's edge.

They disturbed 167 Resting Gulls.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed down the beach access ramp.
A Cyclist was resting on the Esplanade wall to the south.
”Morning."
"Morning.”
Beach Buoy searched for five suitable, but small stones for Stubborn Dog Stack.
He had no Beach Bag.
They would have to fit comfortably in a rear pocket.

There was hardly a breath of wind.

The sea was as calm as a Beach Buoy.

Team One Black Ear caught up.
They chatted as they walked for while but for some reason Team One Black Ear seemed to disappear to the south.
Beach Buoy took the opportunity to take some some photographs.

 Tuesday.

Ruby came too.

After yesterday's vet disaster, Another Dog aka Ruby seemed actually keen to go out.

The tide has just turned from high.
The Beachcombing Border Collie Couple and Team One Black Ear were up ahead.

Back towards the Village all looked to be quiet.

Beach Buoy collected five suitable stones.

They walked the water's edge

Two Ships traded places.

Beach Buoy chatted to Team One Black Ear.
Milo had lost yet another ball.
Beach Buoy reached into his beach bag.
 Another beach-found ball was produced.
It was a basketball 🏀 design but the size of a tennis ball.
"Thanks Paul."

Milo.
Team One Black Ear's Borrowed Dog.
He must miss the freedom of the beach so much when he returns to street walks.
He was happy to have a ball to chase.

Driftwood.

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.

Sit and think.

Sit and think.
THE MOVIE.

Off way out into the open sea.

Wish you where here?

The tide was heading out.
Beach Buoy stopped to chat to the man with the black dog.
"Morning."
"Morning, knew l shouldn't have put me coat on." said the man with a coat does over his arm.

Back to the van.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 11, AUG. 2025.

 Monday.

Tell me why

I don't mind Mondays.

Beach Buoy was alone.

It was 5-35 a.m.

The Council Tractor was already rattling along the beach clearing stones.

Beach Buoy headed down the access ramp.

A Cyclist was at the south end of the

Esplanade.

"Morning.”

"Morning."

Beach Buoy headed to the sea.

It was a short walk.

The tide was well in.

He collected five suitable stones as the Sun cleared the horizon.

He headed south.
The sea was calm ripple by a light breeze from the west.

Two men and a dog went from beach to dune.

The Moon and the Sun seemed to be staring at one another.

Looking to be almost exactly 180 degrees apart.

The Sun at sea, Moon in the dunes.

Beach Buoy walked the low level route.

"Morning Mate."

It was 6-12.

Beach Buoy patted

THE

stone.

He added the five suitable stones to the stack.

He sat on the driftwood set with an elevated view.

Sit and think.

A Parcel of Oyster Catchers pass Stubborn Dog Stack, heading southwards.
Like the Beachcombing Border Collie Couple, you usually hear them before you see them.

Once again, the Sun offered a pathway of escape.
Not today.

Seventeen seconds at Stubborn Dog Stack.

"See you mate."

The lady with a red coat and a brown dog, lead the way back north.

Gannets

Gannets.

Birds...

Go to the sea as much as you can.

Team One Black came from the north

They chatted before going their own way.

The Council's Surf Rake Tractor, clears the beach stones.

Sunday evening.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 7-24.

By the time Beach Buoy had collected five suitable stones, the village church bells rang for 7-30.

The tide was more in than out.

It was Ruby's first trip to the beach for around a week.

A family went to the sea.

There was plenty of Gannets around.

Some large black birds were chasing the Terns for their catch.

Beach Buoy took a few poor photographs.
He was informed that they could be Arctic Skuas.

Arctic Skuas.

Gannets.

"Evening Mate."
It was 8-08
Bob o'clock.
Beach Buoy added five suitable stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood seat with an elevated view.
Sand Martins were still busy flying along the dune edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog has a sit and think.

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach below.

She actually seemed to have enjoyed the  walk

Gannets.

It was lovely evening.

As they returned north, a couple were heading south.
Their disappointed looking Labrador was chasing thrown beach stones.
Beach Buoy reached into his beach bag.
A blue and yellow Scooby Doo ball was rolled towards them.
"Do you want a ball?"
"Thank you so much."
"We forgot the ball."
They went their separate ways.

A dandelion seed up ahead, drifted from dune to sea.
Out of reach, like a lost dream.

Back to the van.
