Thursday 25 APRIL 2024 HARTLEPOOL HEADLAND.
A drive over to Hartlepool Headland.
The sea was wild.
The Pilot Pier.
Another Stack
Beach Buoy collected a stone for Stubborn Dog Stack.
BEACH BUOY.
Thursday 25 APRIL 2024. NORTH GARE .
Thursday afternoon.
Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog headed to North Gare Car Park.
It was around 1 p.m.
They crossed the Golf Course
They headed for North Gare Beach.
It's known locally as The Blue Lagoon.
Visitors from Teesside seem to calm it The Snooks.
Others walked towards the river.
Beach Buoy and the dogs just headed towards the Pier.
Lots of driftwood.
Ships came and went.
They all sat.
Beach Buoy drank coffee.
They were sat in a bit of a dip, it felt sheltered.
They could hear the roar of the sea from the other side of the Pier.
An old cobbled shoe lay nearby.
Beach Buoy wondered what it's story was?
Beach Buoy collected a stone.
One for Stubborn Dog Stack.
They walked a sandy track to a bench and a notice board.
Back to the van.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 25, APRIL 2024.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 5-36 a.m.
Overnight HGVs ran their engines.
It was overcast and cold.
The Sunrise was taking place behind closed doors.
Beach Buoy was about to set off along the beach.
A lady turned up with her dog.
Beach Buoy waited, let them have plenty of space.
In time, they headed to the beach.
A Crow flew close to the sea, like a Gull's shadow.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
They climbed the big slope.
Beach Buoy paused at the top.
He often does.
The Skylarks sang.
He hadn't seen another Sand Martin since that one at Stubborn Dog Stack on the 13th of April.
He watched the white-edged grey sea.
They walked the "easy" route.
6-21.
"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added four stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy pulled up two hoods
He sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
Coffee.
Chocolate.
Beach notes.
He watched the sea and sky.
He watched as two Ducks flew from from dune to sea and back again.
Gulls put on an aerial display as they chased one with a scrap of food.
"See you mate."
Back to the beach...
A couple walked the water's edge to the south.
The lady that walks the length of the beach passed by.
Not too distant waves were shared.
"Morning."
"Morning."
A slow walk back.
Beach Buoy sat in the front of the van he nodded off.
Out of nowhere a big gust of wind rocked the van at 7-32.
Awake.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL, 24, APRIL, 2024.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog had parked in Seaton Park Car Park at 4-43 p.m.
Beach Buoy set the two hour parking disc, placing it on view, on the dashboard.
The fencing had been put up today, to protect the Little Tern nest site.
Word was that they were on their way.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked The Esplanade as far as their usual beach access ramp.
They would have walked the beach but the sea was up to the newly installed fencing.
They headed down onto the beach.
It looked as empty as a winter morning beach.
They turned to head south.
They walked the water's edge.
A crow picked at a dead lobster.
The high tide blocked direct access to the big slope.
They had to walk a not so easy route up in the dunes.
"Afternoon Mate."
It was 5-30.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
A stone had been added for Hugo.
Beach Buoy sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
He sipped coffee.
It looked like the tide was pulling out?
They could return back north via the beach.
"See you mate."
They walked the "easy" route.
Sea foam shivered on the sand.
The narrow beach was busier now.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog made it back to the van via the beach.
They headed back to the van.
Back at base camp, Another Dog made herself comfortable.
BEACH BUOY.

TUES, 23, APRIL 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL
Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived in the beach car park at 6-39 p.m.
It was bright with a chilly breeze from the north.
The tide was well out, although The Seaton Carew Wreck was still to be revealed.
A couple headed back to the car park.
The clouds were grand.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed southwards, but Beach Buoy kept looking back northwards, to the blanket if cloud over the village.
Beach Buoy took photographs and faffed with the filters.
So what?
People can whomp on about
"No filters."
Black and white is a filter
Professional Photographers can use many lens filters and Photoshop the image later too.
Beach Buoy has a cheap phone camera.
Any filter faff is done on foot, at the time
Rant over.
They headed for the big slope, choosing a different filter.
7-07 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Someone had kindly placed a large stone, either side of the driftwood wedge about a metre long to stop it flipping over in the wind.
😊
Beach Buoy sat on the secured wedge.
He sipped coffee.
Waves roared.
Gulls soared up and away with the tilt of a wing.
He stood and scooped up Another Dog.
A couple walked by the stack
Greetings were exchanged.
Another couple walked by the stack.
More greetings were exchanged.
After a while.
"See you mate."
They walked the "easy" route.
A slow walk back with a Gull escort, flying low, almost alongside.
"Hi Dad."
BEACH BUOY.
Monday, 22 April 2024
22, APRIL 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach just as the 7p.m.
Village Church Bells were ringing.
A misty rain fell.
There was a breeze from the north.
Oddly there seemed to be no breeze at all, out in the bay.
The Wind Turbines stood idle with shrugged shoulders.
They headed south.
The tide was well out but not so much as to reveal The Seaton Carew Wreck.
No just yet.
A couple with two dashounds headed back towards the Village.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
7-30.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Around a dozen stone had been removed from the stack.
Beach Buoy replaced them.
Beach Buoy sipped coffee.
The mist had become thicker.
Hartlepool Headland and the Shrugging Wind Turbines were no more.
The Village was almost out of sight too.
"See you mate."
They headed back.
Back along the "easy" route.
As they progressed northwards, the little seaside village, swallowed by a town, came in to view.
BEACH BUOY.
Sunday, 21 April 2024
EVENING VISIT. 21, APRIL, 2024. SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 6-22 p.m.
Pale milky clouds filtered the sunlight.
There was a chilly breeze off the sea.
The tide was a fair way out.
The Seaton Carew Wreck was still at sea.
The elderly man with an elderly greyhound headed south.
He and his dog seemed to lead a beach formation.
The elderly man sat on a low dune edge.
His greyhound stood on the dunes, sheltering from the chilly, behind his owner.
Beach Buoy gave the pair a distant wave.
Up ahead it looked like someone was up to mo good at Stubborn Dog Stack?
Undeterred, Beach Buoy climbed the big slope.
He walked the "easy" route.
There was two couples up in the dunes.
One couple blocked the "easy" route as they talked.
The man had a foreign accent.
They made no attempt to allow Beach Buoy and Another Dog pass without climbing up into the long dunes grass.
"Evening Mate."
Despite a nearby audience, Beach Buoy added five stones before patting
THE
stone.
He sat on the driftwood wedge about a metre long.
He sipped a few mouthfuls of coffee.
He wasn't comfortable.
He had no intention of witnessing anymore biology lessons.
"See you mate."
They headed back to the beach.
Beach Buoy drank the remaining coffee as they headed northwards.
A couple wandered around, looking like they had lost a set of car keys.
Maybe they were inexperienced beachcombers?
They passed by around fifty metres away.
Beach Buoy still got a blast of the man's aftershave.
A jogger jogged south.
The tide was heading out.
The wreck had come ashore.
The German Shepherd Owners Club joined the beach.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog left.
BEACH BUOY.
