.SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 27, APRIL 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog had walked to the beach.

It was 4-24 p.m. when they reached the beach access ramp.

There was a chance of rain later, hence the early visit.

Beach Buoy is very reluctant to pay the council's sea tax for the privilege of parking.

He was in his own little world this afternoon.

Just walk.

The tide was way out.

There was a mild breeze from the south west.

4-51.
"Afternoon Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy sat on a large stack stone.
He unscrewed the lid to his thermal mug.
The comfort brought by a warm coffee, a small bar of chocolate, combined with the sea and his dogs for company was so relaxing.
The Skylarks sang.
For a moment Beach Buoy nodded.
Like one of those children on You've been framed, falling asleep as they finished their meal.
Beach Buoy woke.
Another Dog had dug a hole in the sand.
She was curled in it.
She looked just as settled as Beach Buoy.

Beach Buoy watched a dog walker progress along the water's edge.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.

Up ahead a dune fire burnt.
A group of youths ran from the scene.
Beach Buoy continued south.
Two hoods went up.
Seconds later spots of rain began to fall.

They headed to Sand Martin Corner.
A few were flying around despite the light rain.
A Ship entered the mouth of the River Tees.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog returned to the north.
The Fire Brigade led the way back.
The fire was out.
The rain had stopped.

To finish Another day.
BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 26, APRIL 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 6-20 p.m.
A lady headed up the beach access ramp with her Large Alsatian dog.

It was a pale grey evening.
There was a chilly breeze blowing off the sea.
The tide was more out than it was in.

A couple marched south.
Their hand-in-hand arms swung as one.

There hadn't been much shingle around for a while.
Sand had just been moving from
A to B.
Recent rough seas had moved it from B to Sea, exposing some good stretches of searchable shingle.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed towards Stubborn Dog Stack.

Up ahead a young man, part walker-part jogger was stood kicking at the crumbling dune edge.

6-51 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He drank coffee from his thermal mug.
He watched as Gulls travelled the dune edge.

Another Gull drifted by.

It was time to head back.

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach.

They cut down through the dune edge, down the Sandy Slope.

As they walked their slow walk back, Beach Buoy spotted a Kestrel.
He stood and watched.

Like when a helicopter passed overhead.
You have to stop and look.

Kestrel.
A privilege to observe.

A lady in green, who had earlier strode southwards as though off to catch an imminent bus, strode north.
Beach Buoy told himself that she had caught the bus thanks to her haste but had forgotten her purse.

Hopeful surfers made the best of three or four breaking waves.
They headed back to the car park.

As they headed to the van, a large Winnebago unfolded, increasing its interior dimensions and therefore it's outer ones too.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 25, APRIL, 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 6-15 p.m.
A large group of people and dogs were gathered in one corner of the car park.
It looked, to unknowing eyes, like some type of  "In memory of."
 type of gathering?
Of course, unknowing eyes could be wrong
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach.

It was bright.
The sea was wild.
One would expect the wind to be strong.
A light breeze blew with chill attached.
People headed north.

People headed south.
The sea pulled out out out.
The sea rushed in in in.
Scatters of shingle wer laid out like a trap by the sea to catch the unwary.

Out in the bay, Wind Turbines spun like  vertical carousels.
The horse, all white had fallen into the sea.

6-44 p.m.
"Evening Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
A lady was down at the water's edge with her dog.
She threw sticks
She took photographs.
She headed north.

"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.

The waves said "Hi."
The tide said low,
To the sea, l had to go,
The Gulls said fly,
But l said "No."
To the sea, l had to go.
P.S.
I have bought you a hat."

They headed back to the north.

A family were tempted by the sea's shingle trap.
Screams.
Back on dry sand they seemed to discuss just who had the wettest shoes.
A couple sat of the access ramp, throwing a ball for their two Border Collies to chase.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the van.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL. 24, APRIL 2023.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 6-41p.m.

It was very bright.

The tide was well in.

A wild wind blew from the north.

A man with a bald head and a plastic bag walked towards the sea.

He collected stones as he walked .
Eventually the bag stopped flapping in the wind due to the weight of beach stones inside.
The clouds were gorgeous, the wind invigorating.

Dry sand ran to the dunes.

It looked like that the tide had not long turned.

It was still rushing up as far as the Little Tern fencing.
The horizon looked as if had been drawn by an artist on a pogo stick.
The sea was rough, the bay full of white horses.

They headed south.
Cartwheeling sea foam ghosts overtook them as they walked.
As they approached the area of the sandy slope it was obvious that the sea was reluctant to let go of the sands.
They cut through the dunes.
Beach Buoy carried Another Dog through the sea buckthorn.
The path seemed slightly more defined than last time he needed it.

"Evening Mate."
It was 7-06 p.m.
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He sipped hot coffee as he watched waves break over three of the Bay's Piers.
Waves broke beyond the sea serpent marker.
At times, the marker was completely hidden by the height of the breaking waves.

"See you mate."

A rush of sea thudded against the dune edge.
They returned to the beach via the dunes, once it was safe to do so.

People were noticeable by their absence.

A driftwood creature ran for the sea.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog strolled back into an odd light.
It was pale but colourful.
Light but dark.

It was like being in a watercolour painting.
A small cream blob and a much much larger blob of orange.
Dots in the distance.
A memory of someone you once knew.

They headed to the van.
Shelter from the bracing wind.

Seaton Sunset in the van.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived in the beach car park at
5-55 a.m.
Their's was the only vehicle.
They headed towards the sea.
In the distance, to the north, the 7 a m. club were walking southwards.

A chilly breeze blew off the sea under a charcoal-drawn sky.

They set off towards Stubborn Dog Stack.
Two hoods went up.
Overhead, Gulls that glow white in a sunny sky looked as if they had been pencil-drawn today.
The man with a Rucksack and Rottweiler were in the distance.
"Morning."
"Morning."
The man with a Rucksack and Rottweiler just had his Rottweiler today.
Beach Buoy pondered a whole blog reclassification issue.
Hopefully next time they pass a rucksack will be present.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog carried on to the Stack.
To the north, the 7 a m. Club were chatting to the man with a Rottweiler but no rucksack.
Beach Buoy imagined the conversation.
"What, no rucksack today?"

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.
They passed a large fish that was up on the strand-line.
It was dead.
Motionless.
Ocean-less.

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
It was 6-28 a m.
On the beach below, the 7 a m. club had been and gone.

The 7 a.m. club headed back on a beach narrowed by the height of the tide.

A Lone Duck flew inland like a fired arrow.

"See you mate."
Back to the beach.

A slow walk back.
No rush.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog rested on the Promenade Wall.
Dottie Dog and her mam stopped to chat.
"Bye."
"Bye."

Beach Buoy returned to the van for coffee.

The lady who walks her now dogless route around the carpark and along the front checking for returned coins.
Did so metre by meter.

The Village Green is grey today,
It's going to rain, some people say.
If it does, I'll find a cafe,
Listen to some locals laugh,
Then some reading-by-the-sea,
That sad book, you bought for me.
P.S.
Can you stick £10 in a card for W.
