SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 27, OCT, 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the water's edge at exactly
4 p.m.
It was so mild.
It had been a short walk across the beach to reach the sea as the tide was very high.
As they had headed seaward, two bucket and spade families had just left the beach.
A tall thin man with a tall thin dog also headed home.
The man was grey, his greyhound was black

A lone Yacht sailed in the bay.

They headed south.
An empty beach lay ahead.

The final sandcastle until spring?

Sea pottery piece.

The beach to the north looked quiet too.

.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy added three beach stones.
"Afternoon Mate."
He patted
THE
stone.
He sat on a large sat stone.
He drank coffee.
He watched as a Maroon ship headed out into the bay and the open sea beyond.
Proving as it did so that was anything but.
It was so very calm.
Small black flies flew around, seemingly enjoying the Sand Martin free air space.

Beach Buoy was so reluctant to move.
No one has passed by.
Eventually...
"See you mate."
They headed down the sandy slope.

As they rejoined the beach, a fish, around two feet in length jumped clear out of the water just a few metres offshore.

The beach had been theirs for so long.
A beach regular appeared from the dunes with her two black dogs.
Beach Buoy checked the time.
4-57.
That was just three minutes short of an hour of beach to themselves.

A jogger approached from the north, the water's edge his lane marker.
Beach Buoy gave way to let the man pass on flat sand.

The sea both completed and claimed the sandcastle.

Others arrived.

Planes crossed the sky.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog crossed the beach to the car park.

Beach Buoy faffed on in the van.

BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 26, OCT 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog arrived at the beach at 3-48 p.m.

It was very mild and slightly breezy.

Two Mams sat in unfolded folding chairs, watching their children play by the sea.

It was half term.

A few family groups were scattered around the beach.

The tide well in, not far off being high.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.
Hundreds of Yawning Mussels crunched underfoot.

As they continued south a bright sun seemed to become brighter.

The white edges of broken waves seemed whiter and more crisp.

It was a grand afternoon.
A family headed back north.
It was clear that they wanted the dogs to greet one another.
The man stood in the background, possibly less keen to chat?
The lady explained it was their first dog.
"She thinks she's a Doberman." said the lady looking at her tiny black and brown dog.
Beach Buoy asked what the dog was called.
"Summer."
It was Summer on the beach.
Beach Buoy introduced Ruby, aka Another Dog.
Beach Buoy told the story of the stack, he has become that man.
"Each beach walk must be poignant for you?"
" Yes."
They said farewell before going the separate ways.

The pair headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy had collected two large stones.
These were added
THE
stone was patted.
"Afternoon Mate."

Beach Buoy drank coffee.
He enjoyed the mild day.
"See you mate."

They headed through the dunes for a short while.
The view from the
stack at high tide was gorgeous.

They headed back to the north.

Dune Peaks and charismatic clouds made a great combination.

The tide began to turn.
They ambled back to the van.
It seemed like it was the middle of a summer's afternoon.
It would dark in less than two hours.

 Summer had came and gone.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.24, OCT. 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.
The Golfer weather vane at the top of the club's flagpole was aiming south west, into the breeze.
The Bus Station Clock reckoned that it was 8-45.
It was 4-08 p.m.
They headed to the promenade stairs, north of the access ramp.
A lady came up the staircase with a wonderful dog. It looked like a large puppet or possibly a small pantomime dog if there was such a thing.
If there isn't, there should be.
That dog would be it.

They climbed down the vacated staircase onto the beach below.

A blowy breeze blew.

They headed south.

The tide was well in, it was a narrow beach this afternoon.

There were encounters with other dogs and owners.
The tide must have turned over an hour before, fresh shingle patches were becoming exposed.
Pebbles with legs ran in and out with the edge of the sea.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
He patted
THE
stone.
"Afternoon Mate."
He added five more beach stones.
He went and sat on a large stack stone, watching the sea.

"See you mate."
Time to go.

They headed back on sea smoothed sand.
Their prints the first.
As the dawdled along, Beach Buoy glanced back.
His prints were those of a drunken man.

Determined looking Pebbles with legs marched towards a receding wave as if about to have an argument.
The wave returned with it's bigger brother.
Off the little bird ran.

They headed back.

The golfing wether vane was still hitting to the south west.

As they left the dunes and the golf club behind, the Bay's Wind Turbines all ran to be in front of Stubborn Dog Stack
That's how it seemed every time.
They would scamper back to Redcar upon their return.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 23, OCT. 2022.

Beach Buoy's last check of the time before he went to sleep was
01-11 a.m.
It reminded him the The Tees Transporter was 111 years old earlier this week.
He woke exactly two hours later.
He managed to find sleep once more, waking at 5-14.
By 5-20 he was up.
He arrived in an empty beach car park
at 7-05 a.m.

The council bin wagon
flashed it's way north along the promenade.

They headed down the beach access ramp.
Gulls cried overhead as they travelled inland.
Their cries were no match for the unheard call of the sea.

There wasn't a soul insight.
The tide was well out.
The slightest breeze ever blew from the south west.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south on a seacoal marked strand-line.
A large flock of Gulls stood at the water's edge.

The Gulls took flight as a group of people approached.
They were brass monkey swimmers on a pre-swim walk.

In the half light, Beach Buoy spotted a bottle bottom.

There was lots of shingle to search.

The swimming group led the way.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog went to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
He couldn't stay long, it all felt too sad this morning.
Stubborn Dog was there and not there too.

They headed back to the surprisingly quiet beach.

Beach Buoy plumped for a coffee down near the tank traps.
A couple of beach regulars had walked the water's edge.
They reached the Pier then turned to head back.

Another Dog wanted to check on the dog treat situation.
All was in hand, well in pocket to more accurate.

Coffee drank.
Treats eaten, they headed back.
The very very wet retriever came running over, he dropped his ball for Beach Buoy to kick.
It's Beagle buddy watched on.
This happen another four times.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed for the van.
The water's edge regulars were parked alongside the van
Windows down, they drank a warm beverage.
"Morning."
" Morning, lovely isn't it?"

SEATON SNOOKS TEA ROOM OUT AND ABOUT CARD.

 BEACH BUOY.

SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL. 22 OCT. 2022.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog walked to the beach.
They arrived at 2-15 p.m.
It was as bright as August.
It was as warm as September.
It was as breezy as Mablethorpe.
It had been a slow walk to the beach, not one of those"Quick before it gets dark " walks.

Beach Buoy hadn't gone far when he decided to have a sit and think.

He plonked himself down.
He placed his beach note book on the sand next to his coffee and Another Dog's water.
Another Dog decided to dig a shallow hole in the sand.
She sat in it.
People walked by down at the water's edge.
Beach Buoy was tired.
He laid flat on the sand next to the dune edge.
He hadn't laid like that for years.

Silver Planes crossed the sky.

Another Dog was on guard.
Beach Buoy checked.
The coast was clear in many ways.
Beach Buoy nodded.

He sat up.
The water's edge procession went on;
DOG WALKERS
BEACHCOMBERS
DOG COMBERS
(those that come to groom their dogs.)
BEACH WALKERS.

After a few old man sound effects, Beach Buoy was up
They headed south to the sandy slope and Stubborn Dog Stack beyond.

Beach Buoy took the stack photograph from a distance.
There was only one lady in a swimming costume on the entire beach.
She was stood in front of the stack.
Beach Buoy quickly added stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
With a quick "Afternoon Mate." and quicker "See you Mate."
He and Another Dog were gone.

They began a slow walk back.

It was a busy scene to the north.
