22 JUNE 2022, SEATON SANDS, HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 7-29 p.m.

It was as hot as a summer's afternoon.

Yet another puzzled couple stood at the beach access ramp, trying to make sense of the ridiculously confusing dog ban information.

Beach Buoy told them all was ok to head south.

Maybe it would be a good art installation to have a statue of a puzzled couple at the top of the ramp?

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed south.

There was hardly a breeze on a muggy early evening.

Two ladies were up ahead.

The colours of their clothes were co-ordinated with the colours of their three dogs.

The tide was a fair way out.

People walked the water's edge.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog continued south.

Horses passed as a Ship left the River mouth.

Beach Buoy headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.

He placed some beach stones onto the stack.

He patted

 THE

stone.

"Evening Mate."

Beach Buoy thought thoughts.

They stayed a while.

The south end of the beach was fairly quiet.

"See you mate."

They climbed down a sandy slope on the dune edge, back to the beach.

 They headed north.

SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL 21 JUNE 2022

Beach Buoy, Borrowed Dog and Another Dog reached the beach car park at 5-45 p.m.

He had lifts to do, so an earlier, quicker beach was the only option.

Free parking starts at 6.

Beach Buoy paid £1-50 to park; 10p a minute.

Beaches and HOSPITALS should be free.

A line of numpties sat in their cars playing loud music.

The tide was way out.

It was overcast with a breeze off the sea.

The three headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Borrowed Dog must miss him too?

Beach Buoy placed some beach collected stones onto the stack.

"Evening Mate."

He patted the stone.

He let the dogs have a sniff around.

"See you mate. Will be back for a longer visit tomorrow."

They headed back down onto the beach.

 It was a flying visit.
Better than no visit at all.

20 JUNE 2022, SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to the beach on a sunglasses bright evening.
They arrived in the busy beach car park
at 6-21 p.m.
As the descend the beach access ramp, a metal detectorist walked to the sea.
As he walked, he swept his device ahead of him, like a radar station on legs.

They were on the sand.
There was a pollen-free breeze blowing off the sea in a South Westerly direction.
Pop up tents had popped up.
The beach felt more afternoon than it did evening.

They headed south.
The tide was well out, enough beach for all.
A jogger headed north.
A couple with a pushchair headed for more difficult soft sand from the water's edge.
A man sat on a driftwood bench watching a child dig in the sand like an excited puppy.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed to Stubborn Dog Stack.
Beach Buoy had five stones in his hands.
Potato sized stones.
You know., The potatoes that you don't mind peeling. Just big enough to make the effort worth it.
"Evening Mate."
He patted the stone
He has already added the others.
The stood and watched the bay as they spent some time with Stubborn Dog

"See you mate "
The headed down to the beach.
The height of the tide, or lack of it,meant there was ample beach access to Sand Martin Corner.
It would be almost rude not to wander down.

A bald man checked the time on his wrist watch twice as he strode north.
A tiny trip hazard of a dog was in and out of the man's legs as sped along.

They stood near the Tank Traps for a while.

A young couple were sat near the structures.
The man wore a Tank Trap coloured coat.
Up to eight Sand Sand Martins out on an aerial display for them all

They headed back along the wet reflecting sands.
Up ahead, a young man picked at the water's edge, like a human pebble with legs.

They headed to the van as others came and went.

SEAHAM 19 JUNE 2022

SUNDAY 19 JUNE 2022. SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy had gone to bed around

 12-45 a m.

Lots of pillow punching, fluffing up and rearrangement ensued.

He couldn't find a comfy soot.

He almost gave up.

He found sleep.

He woke.

6 something, he wondered?

He reached for his mobile phone.

3-59 a m.!

Hayfever sniffs began.

By 4-22 a.m.

He gave up.

The kettle went on.

He made coffee.

He nodded off

The coffee had gone cold.

Beach Buoy made a thermal mug of coffee to go

They headed for the beach.

They reached a deserted beach car park

 at 5-50 a.m.

The bright sun and a cooling breeze from the west kept them company as they headed for the sea.

The recent warm weather had brought out the scumbags.

Scattered around; nappy, socks, blanket and a towel.

The beach was deserted too.

It felt odd.

Beach Buoy had been awake two hours already.

They headed south.

Ten minutes or so into the walk, Beach Buoy noted that others were now on their way south.

It was the 7 a.m. club with guest .

A Lone Oyster Catcher stood by the sea.

At first,  Beach Buoy was concerned that the bird was ill.

All was good, the bird took flight a few minutes later.

They continued south.

The 7 a.m. club and guest caught up.

The guest was a newcomer, a lady with a tiny brown and white spaniel.

"Morning Paul."

"Morning."

"Did you see the Dolphins yesterday?"

"No." replied Beach Buoy.

A gestured hand towards the river mouth, gave away their location.

"See you later ."

"Bye."

Beach Buoy and Another Dog to Stubborn Dog Stack.

He added five stone.

He patted

THE

stone.

"Morning Mate."

He sat down on a large stack stone to have his coffee.

It was a ringside dead for a Sand Martin aerobatic show.

Coffee drank.

Time to go

"See you mate."

They returned to the beach.

The 7a.m club were heading back on their second walk of the beach.

Beach cleaning took place.

Beach Buoy collected more broken bottles.

They headed for the access ramp.

A large man was using ramp as a back stop as he sat on the beach sand, sun bathing.

Beach Buoy binned the rubbish..

Time to go .

 Father's Day.

BEACH BUOY.

SATURDAY,18 JUNE 2022. SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

Beach Buoy woke at 4-40 a.m.
Yesterday was hot, his hayfever had been bad
He was wiped out.
He was so weary that he was just going to do a Morrissey and spend the day in bed.
He knew he wouldn't find sleep.
The lure of the sea won after a while.
He was up.
He put a carton of milk and Another Dog in the van.
They set off for the short journey to the beach.

The high fence that had once surrounded the Golf Club had blown down a few months earlier in a storm.
The replacement fence was much smaller.
The Wind Turbines  looked if they were closer, the dunes, the beach and the sea beyond, all felt a shorter walk away.

It was 6-08 a.m. when they reached the beach car park.
The Sun was bright.

They headed for the Promenade.
There was a playing card lying face down on the edging grass that ran alongside the Promenade.
It was like beach Tarot.
Beach Buoy turned the card over with his foot.
What card would it be?
"Hopefully not the Ace of Spades."
thought Beach Buoy.
KING OF SPADES.
A near miss.
They headed towards that bright sun and a sparkling sea.

Poo Bags!

Beach Buoy had left the Poo Bags in the van. They headed back
Whilst at the van,  Beach Buoy spotted the man who walks the perimeter of the car park, usually wearing headphones.
Today the man had gone undercover, choosing to wear earphones.

They returned to the beach access ramp.
The distant wave lady and her dog were just leaving.
"Hiya."
"Hiya."
"I came down for 5. I have some driftwood that l sit on. l call it my seat of contemplation."
"I enjoy a sit and think too as l call it."
answered Beach Buoy.
"Its soooooooo nice, isn't it?" came the reply.
"Enjoy your walk."
"Enjoy your day."
They headed off, one up the ramp, the other down.

They headed for the sea.
The tide was well in.
The sea lapped gently onto the beach.
A man passed, heading south with his white dog
Another man passed, heading north with an invisible dog.

A litter pick grab was raised in acknowledgement on the dune edge.
"Morning Paul!"
"Morning." replied Beach Buoy , raising an arm in lieu of a litter pick grab.
It was the 7 am club, clearing up after the previous night's hoardes of teenagers."

The man with the white dog was heading back north.
He stopped to chat.
His white dog was a Border Collie.
White apart from a spot of black on it's tail and a black eye.
It stood there looking at Beach Buoy as if to say.
"You should see the other fella"
It was a perfect cartoon black eye.
"He's friendly. It's the daughter's dog.
I'm minding it while they are away "
"Enjoy your walk."
"You too."

They continued south stopping once more to chat to the owner of the Very Very Wet Retriever.
His dog was in the sea ensuring it's very very wet status was safe.
They chatted.
They said farewell.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

"Morning Mate."
Beach Buoy added some stones.
He patted
THE
stone.
Beach Buoy thought Stubborn Dog thoughts.
"See you mate."
They returned to the beach.

It was 7 a.m.
Bang on high tide.

A jogger approached.
Beach Buoy and Another Dog stepped away from the sea, onto the softer , uneven sand.
Giving the jogger the firmer,  flatter sand.

Up on the dune edge Beach Buoy collected up broken bottles, remnants of last night's dune goings on.

He headed for the promenade bins.

A paddle boarder's VW Transporter.

The van owner stood at the water's edge.
He was waiting for two other paddle boarders.
They were in the car park, inflating their colourful boards.
Shortly afterwards the two men were heading for the access ramp.
The men carried their boards as if off to compete in an extreme ironing completion.

Promenade sign highlighted a beach issue.

 Boots came off.
Pan of milk went on.
The village church bells rang out for 8 a.m.
It was 7-56.
Beach Buoy drank coffee as Mr Gunn/Nunn arrived with Alfie, his smashing little dog.
They headed off for their circular walk.

BEACH BUOY.

Friday, 17 June 2022

FRIDAY 17 JUNE, 2022. SEATON SANDS HARTLEPOOL.

It had been a very hot day.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog reached the beach at 7-50 p.m.

It was muggy.

There was a breeze from the west.

A group of car enthusiasts had claimed part of the car park to display their old, but not vintage vehicles.

Hoardes of teenagers lined the dunes.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog passed the two who lay blocking the bottom of the beach access ramp, the only had eyes and hands for one another.

It was a relief to head south, away from the hustle and bustle of the car park area.

Other dog owners joined the trek southwards, albeit at a quicker pace than that of Beach Buoy and Another Dog.

A Green Ship that was almost a boat left the River.

A Large Blue Ship that was mist definitely a Ship, followed.

The roar of Seafront Motorcycles drifted across the beach.

Little Terns fished the water's edge, they creaked their way along, sounding like doors in a haunted house.

The tide was well in.

The sea was calm, the sight breeze did create ripples on the surface.

Beach Buoy and Another Dog headed up to Stubborn Dog Stack.

Beach Buoy added some stones.

He patted

THE

stone.

"Evening Mate."

They enjoyed the peace and quiet.

After a while, time to go.

"See you mate, see you tomorrow."

They returned to the beach.

It was slow, tired walk back to the north.

The hoardes of teenagers were still in and around the dunes.
On the edge of the beach, a family group had set up a campfire.
They sat on camping chairs around it.
Next to them was a group of older teenagers.
One of them took some driftwood to the campfire family.
"We were going to have a fire, but can't be arsed."
"Oh thanks pet, thanks very much."
