SEATON SANDS, 21 SEPT 2018.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog reached the Beach at 6-15 p.m.
It was Sunny.
The wind was fresh from the North.

A family of four plus dog were ahead. The younger child was driving a remote control car on the wet, firm sand.
A man travelled the whole length of the Beach in the opposite direction with his gaze fixed on his mobile phone and he "Walked" his dog..... or was the dog remote control :-)

It was fresh and the clouds were lovely.

The Sea was coming in with a fair force but the steep Beach was stopping it coming in too quickly.
Beach Buoy headed up to the Strand line to avoid disturbing a hundred or so Seabirds resting down on the water's edge.
He had three beach combing Crows for company.

The Sun was giving up the Ghost and put on a bit of a farewell light show.

Then it all went a bit Pink.....

Dreading the cold, wet, windy dark days and nights....
So lucky to have a mobile base camp.
Beach Buoy's note to self...
DON"T FORGET THE MILK.!

SEATON SANDS, 18 SEPT, 2018.

It was warm and very windy as Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at 5-30 p.m. The Car Park was full of grounded birds from all of the Major Airlines, thanks to the high wind speed.
Maybe some of the Seabirds were just too heavy to take off after last night's feast?

The tide was well out. The strong wind from the Dunes (West) was warm. The clouds of every type and shape flew by in the Strong wind. Beach Buoy saw a Mother Elephant Cloud  with a Baby Elephant following behind. By the time he had his phone ready to take the picture it had changed into a Man with a Moustache  being followed by the Starship Enterprise!

The wind was whipping the top of the waves as they came in, giving a Rainbow effect as the Spray blew away and back to the Sea.

The water drains away as the lighter nights are doing so.

Down towards the Gares, the Beach was wet with standing water.
The reflections we're lovely.

The wind had been strong all day. The dry sand from up in the Dunes travelled the Beach to the Sea. It stuck to any damp stones or Shingle giving - in Beach Buoy's opinion a nice pattern.

SEATON SANDS. 17 SEPT. 2018.

It was an usually warm September Evening.
Beach Buoy arrived at 6-25p.m. with Stubborn Dog in tow... definitely in tow.

A Jogger travels North at the Water's Edge.

Glorious Ripples in the Sand.

The Season of Long Shadows.

There was a massive feeding frenzy as the sprats came in,.
followed by Mackerel, followed by fishermen running from the Pier.
No Sammy tonight.

SEATON SANDS 16 Sept 18 .

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived at 7-01 a.m.
It was breezy.
The wiring in the lamp posts up on the Promenade were clinking inside the lamps, it was reminiscent  of the yacht's rigging ropes down at the Marina.
The 7 a.m. club were already heading South so Beach Buoy led the way as there was Shingle Banks ahead.

They wet as far as North Gare Pier.

They headed back...

Then headed to Seaham.

The Beach awaits...

Featherbed Rocks and Seaham Pier beyond.

House by the Sea by ?

Stone.

6-30 pm it was back to Seaton Sands.

A young lady sat in the centre of the beach having a sit and think.
Beach Buoy hoped she was OK.
She later headed to the village so hopefully all is well.

A Mackerel Sky.

Sammy!

SEATON SANDS 15 SEPT. 2018.

It was 6-35 a.m.
The Sun's alarm had gone off and it was at the stretching and yawning stage of
things.
A Man and Dog headed South, as did Beach Buoy and his matey Stubborn Dog.
A Dog-less Man did the opposite journey.

The Man and Dog turned 180 degrees when they reached the end of the walkable water's edge. As was his way Beach Buoy headed up to the Dunes a little to give the now whistling Dog owner a free  run at having the water's edge all of the way home.

The Sun began to show more as Beach Buoy walked an old strand line up near the Dunes. A strand line from a rougher Sea where lots of Seaweed had been washed up. There was Green and Brown Seaweed all tangled together looking a little rags of Camouflage Material.
As he walked Beach Buoy collected some small beach clean items.
The small haul by the end of the walk would include four lots of tangled fishing line.

Sammy Seal appeared briefly.
There he is; the tiny black dot in the
centre of the photograph.
The 7 a.m. club appeared around the same time, up to the North.

Beach Buoy headed back  under a Mackerel Sky...

A small Beach clean is better than  no Beach clean.

The 7 am club head back to the South, behind them a Curtain of dawn.

SEATON SANDS 14 SEPT 2018.

Beach Buoy and Stubborn Dog arrived on the Beach at 7-15pm.
The arrival time was much later than had been hoped but that's life eh?
Redcar had a hint of Pink in the Sky.

In comparison the view North was Blues and Greys.

They trudged South knowing full well  that all too soon the darkness would come to claim the Day for a night of it's own.

Up above the Dunes a Poodle cloud sailed by.
Beach Buoy gave the resting Seabirds a wide berth , some sat in the calm Sea like Hook-a-Ducks.
As they headed back a Camera shy Sammy the Seal appeared a few times. He was about 6 metres from the Shore in the relative shallows, slowly heading North, surfacing from time to time and looking at the shore.

Harry the Human and his Stubborn Dog that's who!
I had been down the River for Tea.(Fish again.)
It was getting Dark so I thought it was just me and the pesky seabirds.
Never mind I popped over to the headland for a spot of supper (Fish.)
Anyway it's dark now on the beach now apart from the glow of my flipper top ( The latest Sammysung model.) ....as I lay and do my blog.
Night all Sleep well.
