SEATON SANDS,SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL.16-06-16

 In the Summer Months they clean certain parts of the beach with a machine, it turned the sand to reveal a bottle top from the past; maybe just the 1970's / 80's .See the picture down below.

The Beach was fairly quiet with shingle ahead.

The person on the right just appeared out of the waves in a wet/ dry suit and was met by their friend.

A can with best before date of April 2002 wedged in the rocks ; now in the recycling.

The finds from tonight ; again I left a lot behind  in an attempt to reduce my stock.

The red and white one was tonight's find, picture it's predecessors.

I found the brown one tonight. They are known as jacks or five stones... I mow have 5 so all i need now as a gonggi.

A BEACH COMBER, A WALKER AND SOME TALKERS.

THE DOG BAN AREA WAS QUIET.

TREE TRUNK AND SHINGLE.
IF THIS WAS AN ISLAND,
AND I HAD A SHACK, THIS WOULD BE ADDED TO MY FIREWOOD STORE...
I CAN DREAM;IT'S THE BEACH!!!!

22 PIECES FROM ONE SPONGE BALL... I PICKED THEM UP.

GLASS FINDS I LEFT MORE THAN I PICKED.

POT FINDS ;THE TWO TO THE LEFT ARE NOT A MATCH; ALMOST BUT NOT.

SEATON SANDS, SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL. 14-06-16.

A late Afternoon walk and the sun was out, some nice clouds as we look North towards the village of Seaton Carew.

The tide was on the way out, we walked as far as the rocks at North Gare, where some was sunbathing. I gave them a wide berth and turned back.

It; like the sky was glorious.

We laid on the sand and enjoyed the Sun's warmth.... Oh and lost the car keys.I realised back at the car, dashed back to the scene above and there they were.

I am trying to reduce the amount of glass and pot I pick up , as i have too much!

It's Seaton Carew again!

It's a heap of sea glass again!

It's sea pottery again!

It was around 7-15pm,  bit dull with the sound of a Fog BUZZER in the distance; not a good old Fog Horn but a modern day Electric Buzz.

Still masses of shingle around which is good for finds as I have said many times before.

A fairly quiet beach scene.

Much better photograph looking North, taken with my phone.

Tonight's haul of sea glass, sea pottery some copper sheet and a lump of coal.

Wide range of colours tonight ; the Orange is a rare  for around here.

We arrived at the beach around 4-35pm.
We being myself and two dogs or should I say one dog and a bag of cement on a lead ; my dog can be hard work.

Only a few people around. The couple to the left had a grrrrrrr
metal detector.

The photograph does not do justice to the amount  of sand disturbance, there is a massive drop in some areas.

That heavy wheel is still rolling about on the beach, too heavy and too far to take back with two dogs in tow.

The shingle had filled in between the rocks, i was hopeful of a good find or two.

And still vast amounts of shingle scattered along the beach.

This Sea Alley  was up near North Gare.

... and this was found on the beach area.

Numerous finds tonight.

An earlier walk than of late  in the hope of taking advantage of the lower tide at this time of day.

Not many People around and no spectacular finds... but two dogs walked.

SEATON SANDS, SEATON CAREW, HARTLEPOOL, 09-06-16.

Once again it was an Evening walk; two dogs this time.
It had been a hot and sunny day but around teatime cloud came and a hint of Thunder came across the Bay. I did a bit of shall I go or not... but if it rained it's only water for goodness sake and I have been out on the beach in much much worse weather.

The sky over towards the River Tees looked a little bleak, but we were on the Beach now so ..... Whatever!

The Sea had picked up a bit and there was some lovely waves rolling in the tide was just on the turn.......

Messed about whilst waiting for the tide to turn... not great I know but tied to two dogs ; both wanting to pull in different directions, it was the best I could do.
It was odd because in the distance I could see two men and a dog, I  thought one man was squatting taking photographs of his dog but in fact he was standing stones on edge and balancing them... odd.

A nice fat lump of Sea glass.

Found one of these glow in the dark segments last night too, the fact they came within a day of each other reminded me of the Playwright ;Nick Darke  in his film The Wrecking Season when he talked about the pieces of flooring washed up, It is on Youtube and is a must if you are into beach things
